Another poem thingy written at 1 am 👍

Scientists say
That the movement
of a butterflies wings
Can cause a tornado
In weeks to come

An event so small
So unnoticeable
Can level cities
Change lives

To that butterfly
He is nothing
Small
Unimportant
Meaningless

The insect could never know
The effect he has
The power he holds

Now if a butterfly
can cause a tornado
I wonder
What the greatest weapon
of man can do?

To quote Robert Sharma,
"Words can inspire.
Words can destroy.
Choose yours well."

Imagine
If you had the power
Of that butterfly
Multiplied by over a hundred
Lying on the tip of your tongue.

Fortunately
Or unfortunately
(I have yet to discover which)
This sentiment is a reality.

Words can starts wars
Words can heal wounds
Words can take lives
This is a fact
Too often neglected.

As a welder of the greatest weapon
Please remember
that butterfly
Next time you snigger
at someone's outfit

Next time you ignore
The subtle cry for help
Of a classmate

Next time you gossip
About the ones
who have wronged you

Next time
Remember Sharma
The choice to inspire
Or destroy
Is up to you
