It was a cold night. Jack was shifting in his small borrower sized bed. What is this feeling? It seemed that the cold was getting to him because he couldn't think straight anymore. Quiet sobs came from the walls. And Jack was clutching his head to avoid the outside world as terrifying memories painted this cold autumn night. The little green haired borrower was shifting and turning until he sat up angrily.
"I need to get my mind clear...or I'll kill myself one day."
He whispered to himself since he was all alone in this house. Except one human bean. A red haired giant who is always on his computer and screaming like a mad man. Jack never understood why but he enjoyed listening to Mark. Yes that was his name. Or was it Markiplier? The borrower didn't bother to think about it.
As Jack lifted himself up to his feet he got dizzy for some seconds but soon continued to put his survival stuff in a useful bag and walked out of his home and into the walls.
It was after midnight so the human was fast asleep. Jack continued to head to the kitchen to borrow something. He actually didn't need anything but he wanted to get those memories of of his mind.
He opened a blocked hole that lead out to the kitchen counter next to the sink.
"Finally."
He whispered again to only himself. Jack continued to look around and searched for something edible.
"Bingo!"
A jar of cookies was standing in front of his tiny figure. And a smile was painted on his face. And it was open too! What luck. It's as if the universe took pity on little Jack. He soon claimed one of the big brown cookies and decide to eat some here since he didn't want to return to his home this early. Then he heard padding coming towards the counter and soon a giant golden retriever was sitting in front of the counter looking up at Jack curiously.
"Shoo! Go away ! Shoo!"
Jack waved with his arms to motion the dog to go away. The green haired borrower sighed.
"Fine. Wanna piece?" Jack said.
There wasn't any chocolate in those since he heard Mark once say that chocolate is bad for dogs and he also heard the dogs name often.
"Wanna piece Chica?"
Chica wagged her tail as an answer.
Jack was still afraid of her but not when he's higher up.
"Here you go."
Jack threw a big piece towards the giant mammals mouth. Chica couldn't catch it so it bounced of of her nose and into the living room since kitchen and living room where connected without a door. Chica immediately ran after the cookie piece as loud as a dog can be. Jack winced every time the dog barked loudly. Let's hope the human is a deep sleeper.
Nope. He wasn't.
Suddenly the lights went on and Jack saw Mark walking towards Chica.
"Hey Chica bica? What's wrong puppy?" Chica ignored Marks words and soon munched the whole cookie piece down. She wagged happily and returned to the place Jack was before he hid behind a cup.
"What is it Chica? Where did you get that cookie?"
Mark thought that his dog threw the cookie jar down but as soon as he saw there was no broken jar he got curious.
"Wait? What?" He saw a lone cookie in front of the jar with a small half missing. He inspected it closer and noticed small bites on the sides.
"Hmmmmm..."
Mark was thinking.
'No, that can't be.'
Meanwhile Jack was suffering from a small panic attack. He was pressing his body against this cup in fear.
'He's so gonna kill me... I'm sorry ma and dad. I didn't mean to disappoint you.'
Jack bit his lips as blood was soon coming out of them.
'Shit.. I bit them open again.'
Tears were forming as he flinched at Marks loud words.
"Hello?"
Jack could hear Marks worried voice. Why was he worried? About what?
"I-is there someone... behind my cup?"
The green haired borrowers heart dropped in anxiety and fear.
"Pl-please come out.. I won't hurt you little buddy."
So many questions were swirling in Jacks mind at that question.
'What should I do??'
'He's going to kill me instantly!'
Then the cup was suddenly lifted up into the air, revealing Jacks tiny body.
"There you are."
Mark said, followed by a terrifying silence for Jack. The borrowers body was shaking like a leaf and he wanted to sprint to his hole but he just couldn't. Little tears where flowing down Jacks face and a terrified expression made Mark feel guilty and regretful.
"Look,"
The giant put down the cup away from Jack.
"It's wierd for me too but don't be scared please."
A giant hand was coming right towards Jack and then something clicked in the borrowers mind. His instincts were working again and as soon as Mark had already his fingers around the tiny human, Jack jumped over his hand and landed safely behind Marks palm. He didn't think twice and ran towards the hole and he almost reached it when a giant fleshy wall blocked the way with a loud noise. Jack couldn't react fast enough and ran right into Marks hand, making the small borrower fall back and land on his butt.
Jack cursed under his breath while rubbing the back of his head.
"Motherfuc- Argh!" Jack was soon lifted up by his collar and was now held in front of Marks giant face.
"That's not nice."
Jack looked shocked at Marks worried expression.
"Are you ok little one?"
Mark continued lightly smiling now.
"Are-Are you going to kill me now!"
Jack looked angry and struggled fruitlessly.
"Of course!" Mark answered obviously.Jacks stomach dropped.
His anger turned into pure horror and Jack began shaking again.
"No-NO!! L-Let me go you monster!!! Your just like any other giant!!! Let. Me. Gooo!!"
Tears were forming in the borrowers eyes.
"Woah Calm down!"
Mark immediately regretted his stupidity.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry! I don't-, I mean I didn't mean to- ugh."
The red haired youtuber opened his palm and placed Jack on it.
"Look. I'm sorry! I was just goofing around ... im a total asshole.. please forgive me little borrower."
Jack was even more confused than before."What?"
Jack stopped shivering. Mark looked down on his open palm where Jack sat exhausted. Jack noticed Mark bit his lip softly out of regret and guilt.
'He really meant it.'
"S-So you're not going to kill me?..."
"No. I won't hurt you. You've been living in the walls right? You're the borrower here, right?"
Jack nodded rapidly.
'Did he see me ? When?? How??'
But his questions were soon answered by the giant that was holding him carefully.
"I once saw you borrow something from the kitchen. Remember the time were I fell asleep on the sofa?"
Jack nodded again as the memories flooded back into his mind.
"I can recall you being fast asleep...
B-But how did you see me??"
Mark chuckled.
"I didn't! It was the camera that got you on tape."
Jacks eyes widened.
"Shit ! I thought it wasn't on. Well should've guessed it. There was a blinking light on it... b-but I needed the food."
Mark seemed to simpafice with Jack.
"It's ok little buddy. I'm Mark by the way !"
The human chuckled happily. He seemed so nice. How was this possible? Normally humans would just kill anything Jacks size. This one was definitely diffrent. And that made Jack pretty happy and calmer.
"I k-know. And I'm Sean. Well you can call me Jack."
The Irish Tiny rubbed his eyes with his sleeve in order to brush away the little tears in his eyes. Mark just chuckled again and poked Jack in the tummy lightly but still making Jack flinch in protest.
"HEY!!"
Mark ignored the borrower cursing and started walking.
"Let's get you a nice bed to rest in."
"I could just go home you know."
Jack protested again and again.
"Well it's cold today. You sure you don't wanna have a nice warm giant bed ? Autumn is almost over buddy. It's getting real cold outside."
Mark suggested and Jack just couldn't deny the offer.
"Alright. But don't squish me in your sleep."
"I'll try my best. Sean."
Jack rolled his eyes but was somehow happy. Is this the beginning of a new friendship?"And I'm not s dog toy."
"Alright."
"And I'm not a pet!"
"Of course."
"And I'm not a child! I can take care of myself!"
"Suuure."
"And-"
"-sleep or I'll rethink about the whole being squished thing!"
"...""Sorry."
"It's ok. I'll make sure to keep you safe little Jack. I promise.""Thanks Mark."
