Taehyung wiped his sweaty palms on his pants countless times before walking down the stairs. Jimin and Jungkook had already left, managing to bypass a sleeping Yoongi. About fifteen minutes had passed after the couple's departure, and Taehyung still hadn't shown his face downstairs yet. He hoped Yoongi had already taken some headache pills or done something to properly get over his hangover. He didn't necessarily want to take advantage of him while he wasn't thinking straight, then realize later what he'd agree to, and then proceed to chase Taehyung around the house for revenge. He knew this task wasn't going to be easy, but devious plans was more of a Jungkook thing. Although, he was just glad to receive free ice cream every time he skipped school.

Thankfully, Yoongi was sitting in a barstool at the kitchen, drinking some water with a small container of pills sitting on the counter. Even better, Hoseok was there too, so things wouldn't have to be explained a second time. Taehyung approached Yoongi and took a seat in the barstool besides him, exhaling deeply.

"What was that all about?" Yoongi asked. It was before Yoongi's small nap that he made a dash for the stairs after the phone call with Ms. Kim.

"Actually, that's what I need to speak with you, and Hoseok, about," Taehyung said in a serious tone. Regardless of Tae's deep (and silky) voice, he managed to talk even deeper when solemn. This caught the other boys' attention.

"I had just got word that my father wants us back by tomorrow."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "Okay...that's good right?"

Taehyung pursed his lips. "Well, you see..."

Taehyung began to explain their crazy situation; how their father wasn't right in the head after their mother's death; how they had to help him and obey whatever he said because it was their mother's wish; how even their father would threat them if they ever decided to betray him, also known as calling the cops or even a psychiatrist. He went on about how his father had been on the lookout, constantly searching for the guy who hit and run their mother. They've moved endless amounts of times, finally pinpointing him here in this very town; their old town.

"He only wants us back so he can finish off his plans. For good," Taehyung ended his story bitterly. Yoongi and Hoseok looked at each other in disbelief.

"We need to call the cops," Hoseok stated and turned around to go for the house phone.

"No!" Taehyung begged, and Hoseok turned back to face him again, holding a shocked face. "You can't, please."

"And why not?" Yoongi interrogated. Taehyung sighed.

"My dad. He's crazy. He will find you. Whether or not he's in jail he'll know who ratted him out. Just. Don't. Please," Taehyung pleaded.

"Fine, fine," Hoseok gave in, leaning on the counter again.

"Okay, so that's what you wanted to tell us? That your dad's a psychopath and you practically put us all in danger?" Yoongi asked in a semi-pissed off tone.

"Well, no, you guys don't have to worry, it's just," Taehyung paused to rub his face. He knew this was going to be difficult, "well, I told Jungkook to run away."

The other two boys widened their eyes at this.

"You what?" Yoongi said.

"And I knew he shouldn't be alone while I'm handling my father's business, so I told him to ask Jimin to come with him-"

"You what?"

Taehyung visibly flinched at Yoongi's harsh voice. He was afraid to even look at him. Hoseok was completely speechless, not knowing what side to take.

"I'm sorry, no. No, you can't do that. I can't believe this! I can't believe I let such a dumbass like you to live with us!"

"Yoongi, please, you don't understa-"

"Hell with that, you don't understand! Jimin's my brother! He's mine. He's not yours, he's not Jungkook's whatever, okay?"

"Yes, I know, which is why-"

"Which is why Jimin's probably gonna walk out that door tomorrow morning and leave. All because of your goddamn brother. Everything's about Jungkook, huh?"

Taehyung was starting to get pissed himself. After all of Yoongi's piercing words, Taehyung couldn't keep the boiling sensation inside himself any longer.

"Hey, okay, calm the f-"

"Me, calm? Right now? Are you even listening to yourself right now?"

"Could you please shut up for like two-"

"Why don't you make me then, make me like you're making relationships with people whom you have no business wi-"

"Yoongi, please, shu-"

"I'm tired of this crap, I can't believe-"

"LISTEN TO ME, DAMNIT."

After the final blow, all three boys stood there quiet, with only Yoongi and Taehyung's deep breathing. Yoongi blinked. He'd never seen Taehyung angry.

"How did you feel realizing you ruined their kiss last night, hm?" Taehyung asked slowly and sternly. Yoongi didn't want to give in to that stupid question for the second time. But the more silence that was brought upon them, the more he thought about it. Last night, the night where he was drunk but even so consciously embarrassed his brother. Yoongi looked down.

"Stupid," he finally replied.

"How did you feel whenever Jimin was sad and dejected over your mother's absence?"

"Bad for him," Yoongi reluctantly responded.

"How did you feel when Jimin was able to smile brighter and laugh harder than he ever had before when Jungkook came into his life?"

Yoongi went dead silent, swishing the remains of his water in its glass. "I was happy for him."

Taehyung nodded. He was finally able to soften his tone. "I know it's a stupid decision, and I know you care for Jimin as much as I care for Jungkook. But do you see why I need to do this? All of this? They need each other, Yoongi. You and I," Taehyung paused, peering at Hoseok as if noticing him for the first time, "and Hoseok know that."

Yoongi pursed his lips, contemplating harder than he ever had before in his life. He always knew Jungkook was something special to Jimin. He secretly was thankful for Jungkook. He was able to make his brother happy, something Yoongi couldn't do often. Maybe his jealousy really did get the best of him. He'd been so blinded by it.

Jimin being joyful was all Yoongi ever wanted.

"Okay," Yoongi finally answered. "I...I understand."

He gave Taehyung a sad look. Taehyung smiled and reached over to hug Yoongi.

"Thank you, gamsa, gamsa."

Yoongi was never fond of hugs, but he was willing to make that moment an exception.
