I hadn't had the chance to confront George about yesterday. They lads had been so busy and absolutely no time to waste. But throughout the whole day yesterday he kept me right by his side. And I hadn't seen that girl anymore. Which put me at an ease. When George finally showed back up the day before, he was relieved to see me. He hugged me and kissed me passionately. He said he would explain everything later. So I trusted him. I wasn't worried about him cheating on me. Because I know he would never do that. I was more afraid of the girl. She seemed so suducive. Like she wanted to take something that meant the world from George and me away. And I was scared. We are on our way home and the lads were worn out. They have been working their butts off all day long for about a month now. The movie was almost complete. And I was excited for the movie and for the most wonderful thing that was to happen in my entire life. My wedding. Me and George decided it would be about a month from now. We wanted to get married as soon as possible. Beatle mania was taking over, and we knew that if we didnt get married soon it could be a year or two before having anytime to do so. We had dropped off John, Paul, and Ringo, and George was now driving me home. We would hang out for a bit but then he had go straight home for the shoot the next morning.

We got inside and I decided right now was the best time to ask George about the girl. He sat down on the couch and I went into the kitchen to make us some tea. "So.....who was that girl you were talking to honey?" George sighed and flipped to the next page of the newspaper. "No one. We used to know each other. But....that was a long time ago. She's a thing of the past." I nodded as I stirred his tea. "Oh, George....... What did you and her do when she dragged you behind the stage?" I heard George ruffle the paper straightening it. "We just talked. Why, do you not believe me?" I sighed. "No, I believe you George. Its just I think it was odd that she coudnt talk to you right where you were, thats all." I turned to him and handed him his tea. "Claire, there is no use in me hiding this from you. You deserve to know the truth." I looked at him puzzled as I sat down beside him. "What's the truth?" George sighed as he folded up the newspaper and took a sip of his tea. "Her name is Pattie. Pattie Boyd. We used to date. But then she left me. She left me for Eric." I began to cough from choking on my tea. "Eric Clapton!" George chuckled. "Yeah." I shook my head in disbelief.  "Well, what did she want yesterday if she is with Eric?" George rubbed his forehead.  "She isn't with him anymore.  She divorced him some years back." I nodded and set my tea down on the table.

"George did she mean anything to you?" George sighed and fell back in his seat. "Did she?" I asked sternly.  He sighed and nodded his head.  "I was in love with her. I thought she was the one." My heart sank. "But, I don't love her. I love you. You're  the one for me. Claire,  look into my eyes and tell me you know that." George held my chin in his hands, turning my head so that our eyes met.  "Tell me.... Please." I swallowed hard,  and took a deep breath,  trying to keep the tears from showing.  "Yes, George. I know that, and I love you so much.  I'm sorry for getting upset.  But the thought of you being with another girl..... "  My voice trailed off as George wrapped me in a warm, gentle hug. "Shh, I know, I can't imagine being without you Claire. She is something of the past. She means absolutely  nothing to me. Claire.... You mean everything. I have to have you in my life. I need you love." I rested my head on his chest and he brushed his fingers through my hair, while humming softly.  "The sooner we get married, the better off we'll be." George laughed and kissed the top of my head. "I know love,  I am very eager to get married. It will come soon enough I promise."

Five more chapters!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I bet you all are wondering..... WHEN ARE THEY GONNA GET MARRIED!?!?!  Dont worry that will come soon enough,  I promise.
