~•~•~Eliza's POV
Alex is super cute. He may be my soulmate, and I hope he is. I am already done with the first step to get color, which was accepting my true feelings. I just have to confess, but I don't know if he would feel the same way. I am going to get to know him first before I tell him my feelings.
Our father had told us to go to our mansion and bring some friends along for fall break. I accepted and told him I'll bring Alex, Laf, John, Herc, Adrienne, Theo, and Burr. I'm only letting Aaron come with us, since Theodosia is a close friend and she's coming.
We had to leave to visit our father and get everything ready. Angie said that I keep calling this place a mansion when in her opinion, it's not. I think she hasn't open her eyes to realize, we have 14 rooms and 16.5 bathrooms! I don't know if she knows that is a lot.
I think I should confess my feelings to Alex on celebration day during fall break. I hope he accepts me.
John's POV
My head hurts so much. What happened last night? I try to remember what happened, but I don't remember.
"I see you're awake. You need anything?" I just noticed Alex in the doorway.
"Pain killers and water." I demanded quietly.
"On it!" He ran out of the room to get the items.I decided to grab my sketchbook. I thought of what to draw, yet my mind went to Alexander. As creepy as it sounded, I wanted to draw Alex. I tried to sketch, but was interrupted by Alex running in with pills and a glass of water.
"Here's the stuff," he paused then said, "what are you drawing?"
I blushed, "Oh, nothing." I shyly said.
"If you say so," He said not wanting to nag me anymore, "wanna go grab some coffee?"
"Sure! Let me get ready and then we can go."
"Ok. I'll be in my room when you're done. Remember, classes start today!" He walked out of the room with a smile. A smile that could light up the room. No, the world. God, I'm so gay for this man. I felt heat rise up to my face and I smiled at the thought.~Time Skip To Coffee Shop~
We laughed and talked about a lot of things about each other, but we didn't dare to talk about our family and where we came from.
"What time is it?" I asked.
He looked at his watch and his eyes went wide. "10:32! We need to get to class." He knew my schedule since we talked about it.
"Oh, fuck! You're right." I sighed and got up from the booth. We threw away our cups and ran out the door.Alex's POV
We rushed to class and quickly sat in our seats next to each other. Our professor was named Mr. Washington. He looked nice, but intimidating. He was funny and kind, I liked him.
Someone flicked me in the head and I turned back to see a man that kinda looked like Lafayette, but with his hair down. I glared at him and turned back around. He mumbled something under his breath and chuckled.
"Thomas, listen! What is the number of essays in the 'Federalists Papers' did Lin Manuel Miranda write?" Washington asked loudly, yet professionally.
"Umm, 29?" The guy behind me, that I assume was Thomas, responded.
"No, now pay attention. Hamilton, do you know the answer?" He questioned me.
"Yes, he wrote the other 51 essays in a span of 6 months."
"Wonderful! I'm glad you're listening, unlike some people." He glared daggers at Thomas. John smiled at me and giggled. "You're so smart." He said staring into my eyes. I blushed and looked at my laptop, that I had previously started writing on.~Time Skip To
After All Classes...~Third Person POV
Alex walked with John right by his side. They didn't know what to talk about, but they decided to walk together. Someone flicked Alex in the back of the head again. He immediately knew who it was, Thomas. He turned around to see him leaned up against a wall, glaring at him.
"What do you want from me?" Alex asked annoyed with him. John's glare read, 'if you try anything you won't see the light of day.'
"Oh, nothing," He paused and continued with a smirk, "bastard orphan immigrant."
"Excuse me, how did you find that out?!" He almost screamed at Thomas.
"You heard me. A bastard orph-" He was cut off by John slapping his face. "Alex, let's go." He calmly said with a hint of anger in his voice. Alex had tears in his eyes when he was reminded of his past. Alex was about to walk away, but Thomas spoke before they could turn around.
"Oh, now your boyfriend has to protect you. How cute." He said before punching Alex in the gut. Alex fell to the ground, now crying.
"He's not my boyfriend, but you can go fuck off with yours!" John said through his teeth that were clenched in anger.
"Fine. Have it your way, I'll be back." He walked away almost pouting and ignoring what John said.
"Alex, are you okay?" He hummed quietly.
"Yeah, I think I am. Can we go back to our dorm now?" He made the first sentence a quiet whisper.
"Okay," He helps Alex up as gently as he can. Alex got up, but he was holding and walking a little bit limp. John put his arm over Alex's shoulders and Alex puts his arm around his waist. They both blush at the sudden physical contact. They walked to the dorm still having their arms draped over each other. John didn't dare to bring up the subject of that fight and Alex didn't want to talk about it. Alex knew that Thomas was going to be messing with him for the rest of the year.
"Do you want to watch TV?" John asked calmly.
"Sure." He needed to take his mind off things.
Alex sat next John on the couch, but what was on the TV made everything worse.
The TV turned on, and they were hit with a storm warning.
"The area has really strong winds, pouring rain, lightning, and possibly hail." The reporter said into the microphone. Alex gulped, he was not ready for this storm and John wasn't ready for Alex.~•~•~•~
