Stepping out on the deck I saw that Grayden clearly had the same idea as he sprawled out on one of the loungers enjoying the sun, looking all sorts of edible in another pair of fitted swim shorts. Setting down my sandwich on the table with my glass of iced tea I take off my robe, revealing another one of my expensively crafted to make the most of my curves, swimsuits as I hang the robe over the back of a chair I proceed to dive in the pool.

The feel of the sun-warmed pool water on my skin is fantastic as I do several laps the length of the pool to cool off. Getting back out and grabbing my towel I lay it on my loungers and grab my sandwich and iced tea from the table, with my latest erotic romance novel I lie on my front to eat and read while letting the sun dry me. I glance over at Grayden but as he hasn't even twitched since I have come out I suspect he is having a catnap. I quickly become engrossed in my book, taking a long time to eat my sandwich as the story has me captivated, I mean who would not want to have a knight in shining armor rescue her and also be a fantastic lover who can't get enough of her and makes all sexual experiences about her. As I get set to pop the last bite into my mouth I hear,

"Is that a bologna sandwich?"

I jumped a little, startled, dropping my book when I heard his voice, "yes. I know it is terrible for you and people will tell you all of the disgusting things that go into making it but it is a guilty pleasure for me, I love it with mustard on white bread."

"Okaaaaayyyy"

"What?"

"You just don't seem like bologna kinda girl?"

"You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, then should you!"

"I guess you are right. Speaking of books what are you reading?"

Shit I forgot the book, another guilty pleasure and this one had a steamy cover that was made to draw you in but I certainly didn't want him to know about that little guilty pleasure.

"It's nothing" as I make an attempt to subtly shove the book under my towel

"If its nothing, why are you trying to hide it?"

"I'm not, I am just done reading for now and don't want to lie on it since I am wet"

I thought my explanation made sense and was silently commending myself on thinking on my feet when he reached over and plucked the book out from under my towel. Staring at the cover he read the cover out-loud,

"The Treacherous Rogue Knight, eh?"

"Can I have it back please?" I asked, not too far off begging in the hopes he would not read what was written in it.

No such luck as he flipped through the book, stopping at one part and reading it out loud,

"He pulled her up onto his horse before him, his hand resting on her thigh as he inched her skirts up to give him better access to..." he stopped short as I grabbed the book from him.

"Do you mind?!"

"You don't actually like that drivel?"

"Yes I do! In the books chivalry is not dead, and what girl hasn't dreamed of a knight in shining armor rescuing her" I argued back.

"But they are made up characters, no man is really like that."

"Sad part is your are right, and that's a crying shame!" I said as I hid the book back under my towel and rolled over onto my back to get some sun on my front, putting on my sunglasses and closing my eyes putting an end to the discussion. Smiling he, closed his eyes and went back to dozing I assumed since he didn't say another word.
