Chapter 11

On my last turn at the corner of the hall to the West Wing, my phone rang, I stopped to answer it I don't even know who called, but it turns out it was Mito. I received a text message from him, stating: 'Meet me at the bridge, now!' Startled by his message, I run towards the bridge, by the way there's only one bridge here at the base. On my way there, I was wondering why so urgent? This somewhat made me smile, I do like surprises.

Mito standing at the middle of the bridge, wearing the assigned uniform for each section, his one hand at his back and the way he looks, he's so pale but still handsome as the first time I saw him. I guess he's holding something. By the time I reached him, he smiled at me and hands me a small red box with white floral lace.

"What's this for?' I asked him, but he's not even answering. 

"Well, I guess I should open it.' Once I opened it, I saw a bracelet, with a name of Claire embedded on it. 'Thank you very much.' I told him as I kiss his cheeks, showing my gratitude.

Finally Mito decided to talk, 'I don't know what will have or what challenges awaits us for the next days, but this is for showing how thankful I am to have a friend like you.' He stopped talking as if he's lost in words. It's as if he still wants to say something, he keeps on staring at me directly to my eyes.

"Are you okay Mito? You know you really don't have to give me something just let me know what you really feel.' I exclaimed to him. 

Looking at the bracelet that he gave me, I suddenly hugged him, I can't control myself he's so sweet. When I was about to pull back, Mito reached for my hand and kissed me, our lips touched and it was so passionate. He finally releases me from his tight hug. 'Oh my gosh! Did that really just happened?' I asked him.

'Well yeah, I'm sorry I didn't mean to startled you, I just felt that it's the right moment.' he still laughing as he was talking to me. 'I can't help it, I like you, Claire...' he pauses for a while, '...I want to be with you forever, is that okay with you?'

Okay, what a shock, I hope he's not kidding but by the way he shows his gesture I think it's true. I was thinking of answering him right now, but then a radio wave can be heard from somewhere. It turns out that we both receive a radio call from the North Wing, saying:

'North Wing, we've receive a massive attack and we are in need of help from the other teams.

Make sure that there will be one volunteer left at that section. Prepare for a massive attack!'

After that Mito looked at me, 'You look so pale...' he said, '...do you want to go?'

'Of course, my father is there, I'll just call my team to send the two others that will join us and maybe you should do that too!' I suddenly shouted at him, I didn't mean to do that. No time for romance, if all of this ends I will surely have time for that. 'I just hope my father is safe due to the attack. Let's go.' I told him but he didn't mind what I said. When we're halfway of the corridor going to the North wing, we get to meet the other soldiers. Massive gun shots were received by the zombies, almost half of them are head shots and an explosion occurred at the front barricade.
