*Flashback*

"So did you find something about that Zoë girl?" Bri asked me.

"Yeah, but not much. It's like she disappeared without a trace. How is that even possible?" I asked yawning.

"What do you mean 'without a trace'? There has to be something, right?" Bri almost screamed.

"I don't know. The kidnapper must of done this multiple times wanting it to go so smoothly." I told her.

"But still, there has to be something about her. Or her parents. Maybe we could find out where her parents live and question them." Bri exclaimed.

"I'll try to find out where they live. Tomorrow maybe. I need my sleep today. I barely slept last night." I explained to her.

"How come you barely slept?"

"I stayed up all night trying to find things about that Zoë girl."

"Oh... Well now I feel bad that I didn't help you last night. I promise I'll help next time! Oh! What if I come with you tomorrow?!"

I laughed. "It's okay, Bri. You don't have to come with me. You have to help, yes. But you don't have to come with me." I laughed.

We were on our way to the schools entrance. We just left history. School was finally over.

"But I want to come with you! Why can't I come with you?! You can't go all alone! What if you get kidnapped!" She exclaimed.

"That won't happen! I can take care of myself. I'm almost 18 for God's sake!"

Bri mumbled some choice words but stayed quiet about the topic.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow, Bri."

"See you, Jamie!" She said jumping up and down. Looks like some one had too much coffee today.

I laughed at her. Hyper friends. What would you do without them.

When I got home I went up to my room. Home alone! Time to take a nap!

"JAMIE SAMANTHA JILLES! COME DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT!" My mother yelled. I got up and yawned. Mothers. What would you do without them, right? Note the sarcasm in my voice there.

I walked down the stairs still half asleep. "Yes, mother?" What? Just because I'm sleepy doesn't mean I can't be sarcastic or funny.

"Why is it such a mess in here?" She said ignoring my funny-ness. "I told you to clean the kitchen!" She almost screamed at me.

"What? No, you didn't! You never asked me to do that!"

"Yes, I did!" This time she did scream at me. Oh what a wonderful fake mother I have. Again, note the sarcasm.

"Fine. Whatever. I'll do  it now." I sighed. I don't feel like fighting with her right now.

After I cleaned the kitchen, I went back up to the attic. Maybe I missed something up there. You never know, right?

When I got up there, I was greeted by dust and a mouse. And no, I did not scream. The mouse was cute. I bent down and picked up the little mouse holding it up so I could look it in the eyes. "Hey there little guy. What are you up to?" I asked it. He squeaked in response looking to the left. Maybe he wanted to go back into his little cave of boxes?

I let him back on the ground and he ran towards the boxes.

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
