As Ashton continued on his drive home, Helene had been the only thing to occupy his mind.

His concern for Helene was a sick sort of interest that he would be forced to keep within certain limits or he'd lose what little chance he had with Helene. She was perfect and he wouldn't let her slip away. He couldn't possibly let her evade him as she was now his challenge; a main priority.

Call it lust.

Call it infatuation.

Either way it couldn't be considered as healthy if it was left unsatisfied.

Ashton was stubborn and committed to his wants often causing them to be perverted into obsessions.

He was determined he would speak to her again, soon being able to take a seat beside her and he anticipated a realm of possibility for the somewhat distant future. It would happen, even if it took a bit of shameless convincing. Helene would fall for his gentle charm and hazel eyes no matter what; he was ruggedly handsome and was gaining confidence.

It was a master plan that he considered to be foolproof and Ashton was bound to use everything that he could to his advantage.

To the longing man, Helene was something ethereal. She had wonderful manners and was a seemingly respectable young woman. Of course he had been initially been caught up in her looks but there for once had been feelings that weren't based solely on semblance.

He loved watching her in the library, it made him somewhat proud of the girl. Ashton could sense her devotion to uni and knew it would pay off as it was doing for him. She was making the best choices for herself even if it meant putting the teenage cravings on the back burner.

Helene was more than impressive, a parents dream. It almost seemed to good to be true to the man.

Whenever Ash would see the girl, he could only wonder as to what she was hiding. Everyone had their own skeletons no matter how pure they seemed. Helene had appeared to be unblemished yet now he'd noticed something about her that Ashton held a bit of excitement toward discovering.

There was a certain amount of hope that Helene would share a side of her that she herself was yet to explore. Concurrently he wished that it would remain clandestine to everyone aside from himself.

That was a selfish intention but it was a priority.

Ashton also found himself awestruck over how observant Helene had been of him; she'd quickly taken note of the miniscule heart adorning his wrist. He was a hypocrite though to say that he hadn't done the same. Ashton noticed the smallest things about the beautiful girl from the jewelry she chose to clad her body in or the way her eyebrows furrowed and how she pinched the bridge of her nose when she got frustrated.

He felt like he knew the girl already but he didn't know enough and was bound determined to learn all the information he lacked.

Ashton would strive to do this in a timely manner though as he was sure another guiltless man such as himself would take the opportunity to snatch her away before he took the chance.

Back in Helene's dorm, she found herself
lost in a similar bout of thought as she'd basked herself in the warmth of her untouched bed. She happily pulled the soft material of a blanket around her frame only to lay her head back on a rather absurd amount of throw pillows.

Her roommate had been out as usual but she didn't mind. The peace and quiet was very much appreciated. She could be productive in this time but also use it to relax and think.

Thinking for Helene could be both a blessing and a curse; it had led to great discoveries and work by the young female yet it also led to an acute darkness, one that was impossible to be distracted from, let alone escape.

Tonight Helene was faced with the all too familiar anxiety her thoughts would derive. Her mind was focused on one thing alone, the mysterious yet lovely man from the library.

His actions sent her mind reeling as they were somewhat perculiar. Nothing about him seemed ostentatious although he had certainly captured her attention.

Helene had only spoken to the man on a single occasion, but she'd already taken note of his blatant generosity. He'd wanted to make sure she'd arrived safe in her dorm but he hadn't approached her in an unpleasant manner.

Helene had felt a strange sense of safety as she saw his shadow watching her step in the entrance to her housing.

She'd also felt a bit of danger in it.

Helene had made an effort to hold conversation with someone she knew virtually nothing about. She did it so willingly even though he'd been a mere stranger who happened to have a few years on the girl.

Usually Helene would've never stepped out of her way like she had to have interactions with someone. She could only assume it was a sort of fate though as she now felt as though she at least had someone on the campus that seemed to care about her in the slightest fashion.

If her mother had known that Helene had approached Ashton as she did she would certainly have a few choice words with her daughter. There would also be a reiteration of the stranger danger talk Helene had received as a young tike.

The flaw in that though was the fact that Helene was no longer the mindless child she'd been more than a decade ago. She was a blooming adult who finally had the opportunity to make choices for herself without restrictions or backlash from her overprotective family.

She was bound to take risks even though they would come to make her stomach turn, when at the time of making them she would experience a sort of high.

There would be no regrets in Helene's choices because in the moment she'd made them, that was the exact thing she'd desired.

Sorry for the delay guys, I was on vacation with my brother for the past few weeks. I haven't seen him much in the past few years because he's in the military so I finally got to go visit him and I didn't have much free time.

But now I'm back.
