Since I am a swimmer I would wear two pieces. I asked my mom to take a photo and show me. As my mother was a doctor she noticed something very wrong. My shoulders were out of line and my hips were at different heights. I was quickly rushed to hospital by my mum and they found out I had a 63 degree curve in my spine.
My doctor said that it was too late for a brace and spinal fusion had to be done. It was only my 2nd time going there. We organised a date 5 October 2010! I couldn't wait to get a straight spine!
Meanwhile I was telling my friends about what was happening. I got a lot of mean comments like 'oh it's not that bad' and 'just push it back to its normal position.' I was starting to get very anxious with my back.
Then I started a new hobby, gymnastics. Since I was athletic it was easy to get into. And within a month I could do a layout. My father, an ARMY solider came home for a year after hearing about my back. I was so happy and pleased to hear he was coming home. Then we got a phone call.
