It was the day Christmas Break began, everyone was leaving and I was slightly relieved to find out that everyone was going home for the holidays, leaving me the only Gryffindor staying.

With everyone leaving, I was surprised to get an owl from Malfoy, saying he wanted to meet in the library. Isn't he leaving soon?

Curiosity got the best of me and I said my goodbyes to Hermione and Harry, quickly heading to the library so I could hopefully get a few hours of reading by the lake.

Once I walked into the library Malfoy saw me and came over to me.

"Aren't you going home for the holidays?" I asked.

"No," He stated as if it were obvious. I decided not to ask since it wasn't my business.

"Oh... Okay, why did you owl me?"

"Flitwick gave me a 10 page essay due after break since I skipped 2 weeks of classes." I snorted but changed my expression at the glare he gave me.

"Sorry..." I muttered. "What does that have to do with me?"

"... I need your help." He spat out quickly like he was angry he had to ask, I bit my lip to hold back the laughter threatening to come out. I cleared my thought trying to control my emotions.

"Absolutely not, I don't know about you but I plan on having a nice, relaxing break. No work, no stress. So if you don't mind-" I started to turn around but was stopped by the feeling of Malfoy tugging at me arm.

"Please Walker?" I had to stop my mouth from hanging open in shock, did Draco Malfoy... Just say please?

  "I... I don't know."

"It will take three days the most, then you can continue your 'nice, relaxing break'." It was obvious he didn't like this any more than I did, so I nodded my head.

"Fine... Meet me here after dinner tonight." Then I was walking out the door, asking myself why the hell I just agreed to it. I absentmindedly walked back to the common room, I couldn't help but think that maybe this won't be so bad, it might be nice to spend break with someone after all.

Draco's POV

I had to admit I was surprised Walker agreed to helping me over break with this stupid Charms essay, but I couldn't deny I was relieved. Flitwick has always had it out for me, giving me stupid rubbish like this. Countless times I have warned him about my father hearing out it, but he began to ignore it after a while. I guess Walker was right, it has grown old.

I shake my head stopping myself from thinking about Walker, it didn't matter what she thought, she was just an easy way to get work done and higher grades, nothing more.

But then I thought about all the times she has skipped breakfast to help me some days-

  Dammit Malfoy, shut up.

I could feel my forehead crease as I had a war with my thoughts, walking down the hallway. It was stupid I even thought about that, even if I did care, it wouldn't matter she was not only Gryffindor but a mudblood, anyone in Slytherin who liked someone like that was a fool... But then again, my father always did say I was.
