also, i highly suggest reading the first book before this one. i'll try to make it so that it wouldn't be too confusing if you start on the sequel for some reason, but it makes a lot more sense if you just read the first one. and also, there are disclaimers and explanations to things in {coming soon} (:

I wake up sideways, wrapped in deep blue satin sheets and enveloped in warm arms. I smile to myself. How lucky am I?
I shift the slightest bit so that I can see Cameron, only to find he's staring right back at me with a smirk on his adorable face. "Good morning, beautiful" he lifts my chin up and kisses my forehead. It's been four months since we officially started dating again, and I still get butterflies in my stomach every time he touches me. "Hey sexy" I giggle. I feel a slight kick in my belly and grin widely at Cameron. Perhaps the best part about being pregnant with Cameron's baby is the knowledge that there is life growing inside of me that is half me and half the person I love.
"Hi baby. Daddy can't wait to meet you" Cameron caresses my bump and chuckles when the baby kicks again. "We never decided on a name, did we Cam?" I realize, my eyebrows raising. "Any ideas?" Cameron sits up in bed and wraps his arm over my shoulder. I bite my lip and try to think. I've always liked the name Blake for a boy, but I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to imagining up girl names. "Blake?" I turn to Cameron who furrows his own eyebrows. "It's okay. I also like Carter for a boy" he shrugs. I nod. That's not bad either. Cameron fidgets, and that's how I know he wants to move on to a different subject. "Let's think about this later. We've got time" I kiss him and Cameron kisses back, pulling me on top of him.
He sighs and then flashes a smile. "I have a surprise for you" he winks. I gasp. "Oh, really?" I rack my brain to try and think of what it could be. Of course, the thought of a real engagement still lingers in my mind, but I know Cameron doesn't like to rush things and to be honest, I don't know if we're ready.
"Yeah. What starts with D and ends with D?" Cameron clasps my hands and I attempt to guess.
"Dad?"
"Nope"
"Dead?"
"Nah"
"Dryiad?"
"What is that?!"
I sigh and collapse onto his chest. "I don't knowwww" I cry out, beginning to laugh.
Cameron grins. "Soph. We're going to Disneyland for the weekend. It's a gift from me. For loving me as I am. It'll be in California, so you can visit your family and friends and I can meet more of them. I just want to thank you...for everything" he rambles off as his face becomes serious and it appears as if he is hitching his breath, waiting anxiously for a reply. I smile.
And then I squeal uncontrollably, jumping out of the bed and taking him with me, giving him a huge hug and kissing all over his face. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you" I giggle and Cameron sighs, relieved. I run my fingers through his curls and he puts his hands on my waist.
"You really are the best Cam" I exclaim, resting my head on his shoulder. He pulls me closer.
After all we've been through, it feels so good to be with him. To look forward...to the the future.
