The Mansion | A Thunderstorm

"Please don't make any sudden moves."
- Twenty One Pilots

The group of teenagers barely caught any sleep last night. All of them were paranoid, and all of them were scared. Ethan was gone and no one had a clue where he could be. Keith felt very pressured to stand up and be some sort of "leader" but he was just as scared as everybody else. He didn't want to let anybody down and he definitely didn't want to be the blame of everything. If Ethan was hurt by someone then he would be ready for war. But he had no clue what was going on.

Keith's father was still gone and he has not returned back to the mansion. That thought alone is what makes Keith anxious and even more worried. His father hasn't called him and when Keith tried to call it went to voicemail. It was a big debate on whether they should call the police or figure things out for themselves. The group didn't want to think the worst, so calling the police would just add more drama. So for right now they are going to sit tight and wait for Ethan to come around again.

The note was sitting right beside Keith's dresser. He read the note over and over again. Keith couldn't stand the fact that someone would want to hurt their friend and hurt the others. The more he read it over, the more he took notice in the handwriting. It was in pen, and the style of writing only lead to Cameron's handwriting. He was the only one out of the group that connected his e's with the surrounding consonants when he wrote, and that gave him cold hard evidence to find out who is trying to set all of them up.

In the back of Keith's mind there was doubt. He wouldn't think Cameron would go this far and try to scare them. What if he really took Ethan? What if he is plotting right now? All those thoughts ran through Keith's head continuously and he really wanted it to stop. Cameron didn't leave, which meant that he was still around wondering the woods as he pleases. He had a new group of "friends" and he made it clear that what he had with the guys was trash. What does he want? Was it revenge? Money? Or was it someone dying?

A knock on the door interrupted Keith's deep thoughts. He got up from his bed and walked over to see Zayn all dressed up, he frowned, "Wassup Z?"

"I'm going to look for Ethan," he says firmly. "I'll be back if I—,"

"Hold on," Keith cut him off frowning. "You're going by yourself?"

"Yeah?" Zayn says in a obvious tone. "He's our friend, and I'm going to go find him."

Keith rubbed his forehead sighing, "Listen..you're not going by yourself so let me get dressed and—,"

"No, I can handle it," Zayn cut him off.

"No..you ain't going out there by yourself Zayn. I don't care if it's broad daylight or pitch black dark, I'm coming with you," Keith says. It was plain and simple, he didn't want anybody going up missing.

"What's going on?" Jason asks walking down the hallway.

"Nothing," Zayn mumbles while squinting his eyes at Keith. "Just someone wants to play stupid."

"Don't give me that bullshit Zayn," Keith spat becoming pissed off.

"What's bullshit?" Zayn raises his voice. "You call finding our friend bullshit?"

Keith grew irritated, "That's not what I meant and—,"

"I don't care, I'm leaving," Zaym scoffs before walking past Jason and jogging downstairs.

JoJoe was in the main living room, he looked up seeing Zayn walking towards the front door fully dressed, "Where you going bro?"

"I'll be back," was all Zayn said before opening the front door and closing it behind him.
