I left the hospital in tears at about 4am when my dad came to pick me up. I had put the amulet around my neck earlier and now was holding it against my chest. " I'm so sorry sweetie I know he was a really good friend. " My dad was trying to cheer me up. My mind however was off in space. I didn't really want to face reality. When I got home my dad told me he was going to keep me home from church today so I could sleep sense I hadn't in a day. I spent all day in my room. I didn't eat at all the whole weekend so I was starved Monday morning. Dad had made me a full course breakfast which I devoured without much thought. I wore the amulet around my neck even though it still made me tear up thinking of Koby. " Whats the symbol around your neck honey " my dad asked. " Koby gave it to me right before you know " dad studied it closely. " I believe that symbol means you are hells creation I've seen it before " I looked down at the amulet then my mind went back to Koby's shoulder. Koby was part of hells creation this makes sense now why he had to do that in the underground. When I got to school Charlie was there waiting for me like any other normal day. She wore a big smile but in her eyes I could tell she felt the same I did. " Seems weird standing here waiting for you now without a very impatient guy beside me " I could tell she was trying to make me laugh so I gave a little fake smile. " It sure will be different now in class especially lunch " I looked back through my memories and remembered my first kiss. My eyes began to tear up but I held it back I didn't want my face to be all red for school,
Through out the day I kept catching myself staring over at Koby's seat waiting and expecting a smart ass remark I would never get again. All the classrooms were so quiet without him. Lunch was just like it was before we started talking I sat down ear buds in my ears listening to music the whole time. Who knew how much you could miss someone until they are gone
