Koby moved closer to me in a hug and he would not let go. I could hear his soft weeping as his tears were soaking into my shirt. I hugged him back tightly and he stopped crying. "Thank you for showing me what a real person should be not popular nor even known at all but someone who truly cares no matter what" I stood there in shock for a few seconds after Koby said that. "Why are you saying this now you could have just kept this to yourself and knew deeply what it truly means" Koby turned his head and sniffed the air never answering me. "It's not safe here go get out of here I can smell them a mile away and o don't want them to get you" Koby began pushing me towards the door but it was to late. Standing in front of the door was a huge dog like creature walking on two legs. "Hello there brother why would you let fresh meat like her go" the hound lunged my way but Koby blocked him. "Wait I thought I was one of you too" I asked my question and to the answer the hound sniffed the air "I smell the faint scent of human and I know Koby is pure so it must be you missy". "Meg show him your shoulder that is what marks you" Koby half screamed trying to keep the other hound away. I pulled down my sleeve slowly and the hound stared at it. "A hybrid why this must not be they can't live unless they are born with it and the only way to become one is by entering the cave". I fidget softly at the words the hound just said and replied "I have". Koby let go of the hound and he stood there almost like a statue. "Brother how did she find it" the hound was asking Koby. "Her and her friend followed me there and I didn't know it" Koby fiddled with his fingers looking down. "There's not just her but another how could you have done this your a hound and your sense of smell should be amazing". The hound gave Koby a long glare. "I was sick okay hound's can still get sick can't they" Koby looked at the hound with a grin on his face. "I suppose but even with that you still have a pretty good sense of smell". The hound sat down a little further away from the door. "I think I should go before you two get in a fight and plus now I have to explain to Charlie what we are" I walked towards the door and open it. " Wait a second Meg" Koby grabbed my hand and squeezed it softly. He pulled me into a hug then kissed my forehead. "I'll talk to you more later okay stay safe". Koby let go and I waved goodbye walking out the door.
