You honestly had no clue what to do with Steven and Connie. They were now both out cold, neither of them moving. You looked over to Pearl, and she ran to you.

"Y/n, what do we do?! We barely have time left, and-"
Poof.
Steven's gem cracked. Pearl shrieked, and Connie gasped, her nose bleeding. You quickly got a dangerous, but useful idea that would either work lovely, or go down in flames.

"Pearl! Garnet! Amethyst!" You called. The three looked at you. "I know what we need to do. Garnet, you hold Connie in your arms. I'll take Steven's gem." you explained. Garnet nodded, grabbing Connie carefully, holding her in her arms. Connie coughed a few times, holding her stomach in pain. You carefully caressed the Rose Quartz gem, remembering Steven's little smile. You wiped a tear, and shook your head to snap out of it.

"Well, what now?!" Amethyst asked fearfully, brushing the lilac hair from her face. You looked to Gather and Connie, and then to Steven.

"Get in my ship. It has more than one seat - trust me." you assured the gems, nodding. They nodded, and the four- Six of you started towards your ship.

You scrambled to get your remote out, clicking the button in the middle. Three other seats popped up, and you all got in, Steven and Connie still in grasp.

You got ahold of the joystick, and you were off to your planet - Planet Y/B (Your Birthstone), a branch of Homeworld.

You all arrived, and you teleported the six of you to your main living area. To the gems' surprise, no other gems were there. Complete silence overtook the six of you.

"Come here. Follow me." you demanded quietly. The three gems nodded, and Connie let out a small, pathetic groan.

You brought yourselves to a giant, death looking machine.

"What on Earth is that?!" Pearl screeched. Amethyst rolled her eyes ad you frowned upon it.

"Remember those forced fusions, Garnet?" you questioned, turning to the tall, dark haired fusion. Garnet's eyes widened under her glasses.

"Y-yes." she stuttered back. You sighed deeply.

"This is the machine we- I mean - Homeworld - used on those poor, innocent gems." you admitted.

"So?" Amethyst asked, voice cracking. You looked to the gems, and held Steven's gem tighter.

"So, we need to use this on Steven and Connie." you explained. Pearl gasped.

"No! That's a horrid decision! Wouldn't it hurt them?" Pearl shrieked, eyes widening. You shook your head.

"Not if they aren't thrashing around, screaming." you advised. Garnet shuddered, making Connie's hair fall from her chest. The gems thought for a moment.

"Fine. I guess this should work." Garnet gave in, shrugging. You smiled sadly, walking up to Garnet.

"Carefully, hand me Connie." you demanded kindly. Garnet did so, slowly. You took Connie in your arms, sighing, and walking over to the machine. You kissed her forehead, not caring for the blood, sweat, and tears. You placed her in the machine, the red light turning orange, since she was human. You ignored that, taking Steven's gem from your hand, and placing it on Connie's stomach. The machine turned yellow, now knowing a gem was there. You ignored that once more, and stepped away, after clicking the big, green button.

"What now?" Amethyst questioned, furrowing her eyebrows.

"We wait. Step back." you advised.

And so, the four of you waited. The machine steamed, but you could see a pink light beam from it. You crossed your fingers, gritting your teeth. If it succeeded, you'd be their hero. If it failed, you'd be their murderer.

Suddenly, the machine steamed one last time, and everything was silent. Garnet took off her glasses wiping the mist from them. The Ruby in her started to cry, and suddenly, Garnet was crying. She had never cried before. It took the three others by surprise - until arms wrapped around Garnet.

"I'm here, I'm here, I'm here~"

"Stevonnie!" Garnet exclaimed, wrapping them up in a hug back. You all cheered, patting each other on the back and crying. Stevonnie chuckled quietly, looking over at you. They smiled sadly, and wrapped you up in the biggest hug ever. You cried into their shoulder, as they patted your back.

"I love you, y/n." Stevonnie whimpered. Your face turned pink.

"I love you, too."
