~Chapter Four-Curiousity Killed the Cat~

Luckily, Diamond and Starlight had landed on a springy patch of moss which slowed their fall. They never thought their Loftwing's would leave them. Diamond shook pieces of moss off of her and sat up. Leafy trees loomed above them with patches of light reaching the grassy forest floor. "I was reading in the ancient texts and it said that this was Faron Woods." Diamond glanced around. "Interesting. There are lots of trees, more than we have at home. Let's explore!" Diamond and Starlight raced into the trees.

At Skyloft, Link was unable to look for Zelda at the moment because of his injuries. He had kept mumbling on about a strange flying girl who opened some light beam by placing a stone into an opening of a wall. Headmaster had seemed stressed. He also wondered where Starlight and Diamond were. Headmaster sent guards to fly around the sky to find them. They reported back saying that they found them flying around on their birds normally. Diamond and Starlight had been sent to Headmaster. "Why were you girls flying? You should have been at the Academy or around Skyloft!" Headmaster rubbed his forehead. "Umm, we were just.....exploring an island we found in the sky!" Starlight smiled fakily. 'She is such a bad lier.' Diamond though and sighed. "Well, tell me if you go and do that first, you hear?" "Okay." They said at the same time and scampered off. "Girls will be girls." Headmaster grunted.

Diamond laid the covers on her while Starlight shut the door. They had been talking about the strange woods they had encountered. Diamond had wanted to go again, but Starlight was afraid that she would get caught if she went again. Diamond rolled onto her side and stared at the blank wall. She reached under her bed and picked up her sheathed sword. She pulled it out and it glinted creepily. 'I have to go.' Diamond sat up in her bed. She slipped the sheath over her back and tiptoed to the door. Luckily she had not changed into pajamas yet. Diamond slowly moved the door on its hinges without any creaking. She silently shut it behind her. Glancing around the hall, she heard a noise, but it was just Headmaster's snores. 'Thank you.' Diamond was thinking while tiptoeing her way to the door. 'I must avoid all the guards. If one of them runs into me, tell them I couldn't get any sleep. Get on my bird quielty, and fly towards the beacon.' It replayed through her head over and over again as she grasped the cold doorknob, twisting it and stepping outside. The darkness of the night swallowed her up except for the few lights piercing the black night. Diamond walked around for a few moments before spotting it. A giant, illuminating green beacon of light stood out against the darkened sky. 'Wow,' Diamond thought, 'this is more bright and prettier at night.' She walked silently, figuring out where the next jumping platform was in the night, and then she saw it. A remlit was strolling in a patch of flowers, apparently unaware Diamond was sneaking up on it. Diamond accidently stepped on a twig, hearing it snap. The remlit turned its evil gaze onto her and lunged forward, hissing at her. She quickly whipped out her sword and gave it a few swipes with the unsharp sides of it. The remlit quickly fled her presence, now scared of her sword, and Diamond hoped no one had heard the encounter. It was good that no one had, because she could see the platform. Making sure no guard saw her, she leapt off the platform with a silent whistle for her bird she had learned from reading the ancient texts. The glowing green beacon loomed in front of her as she got closer. White suddenly surrounded her. But then she haerd the same chilling voice say, 'You will find me.' Then she leapt through the cloud barrier alone.
