Sorry for the long wait on this chapter! I've gotten so busy......more so now that schools started -_-  But here is the long awaited update ;) Look! I finally finished it!

The sound of a great commotion awoke Starlight.

"What is it this time?" She managed to sit up in bed and rub the sleepiness out of her eyes. Peering out her window in the Knight Academy, she watched senior and older knights gather around, organizing a mission.

"Headmaster brought us here today to search for our girls, Diamond and Zelda," This peaked  Starlight's interest, "We believe, in one way or another, that these lasses have journeyed to the fabled Surface." The knight speaking pulled out a large map, unfurling it for all to see.

"This here is the way we will enter the cloud barrier, and from which we will return." He turned and pointed to the large beam of light shooting through the clouds. "And this...." His voice was interrupted when Starlight's door opened and her friend Karane started to talk to her.

"Come on, get ready! Breakfast starts in five minutes, then we get to send off the knights in their special expedition!" Karane left her doorway, and Starlight half wished she hadn't interrupted her eavesdropping. Since she wasn't a senior knight in training yet, she wouldn't be chosen to go on the mission.

She thought maybe she could somehow sneak in and find her friend without being caught by any knights. By knowing their plans, she could map out a way to avoid being found out about.

Slipping an old shirt on, she headed to the dining room where everyone was already seated, except for Link, and obviously Zelda and Diamond. The cranky cafeteria lady spat,

"Come get your breakfast, you lazy younglings! Don't you know it doesn't serve itself."

Everyone stood up, sighing, and got their breakfast, anticipating the events to come.

After breakfast, everyone was led to the base of the goddess statue.

"All knights currently training at the Knight Academy, stand forth!" Instructor Horwell yelled.

Everyone who was gathered around, except for some of the senior knights. Starlight joined them, and they formed two lines parallel to each other.

"Now, whoever wishes to be granted this opportunity to go on this expedition step forth."

He referred to the senior knights and others mentioned earlier. Unexpectedly, before anyone else had a say in the matter, Groose stood up.

"I feel led to go on this noble mission."

Some of the eldest knights scoffed, and started to mumble under their breath. A glint in Groose's eyes told Starlight that he was too untrustworthy, along with his general personality on top of that.

"I will go. I feel as if the goddess has rested this fate upon me." Everyone watched as Link pushed through the crowd to stand next to Groose. The eldest knights stopped mumbling and started nodding in approval. No one else offered to go on the mission.

After a few moments of silence, Instructor Horwell boomed,

"Ah, so these two senior knights have chosen to fufill this dangerous mission." He scanned the crowd.

"If no one else is challenging, then we must agree on one to go then, correct?" The crowd of townsfolk nodded.

Starlight knew deep down inside who she would obviously choose, but kept it to herself.

"Then we must take a vote. All in favor of Senior Knight Groose please raise your hand."

All but his two sidekicks didn't raise their hand, and Starlight noticed that his sidekicks looked forced into doing so.
