the days had past, each hour drifting away as a memory replaces it. brendon and tyler had grown close over those days, spending more time together alone, which scared tyler to death. flashbacks of previous private endeavors haunt tyler; he was damaged beyond repair, the poor boy can't escape it. the celestial boy was a target for mainly every form of pain imaginable, it was like it latched onto tyler's purity. tyler knew though, that brendon would never dare hurt him, he was so caring to ty.

the clock on brendon's bedside had read 5:04 am, but time was merely a concept in bren's altered thinking. the plumes of smoke rose from the blunt he had just rolled, and brendon was then in complete bliss, grinning to himself as he laid in bed. he had been thinking of tyler, and all the things he admired about the delicate boy. bren was astonished by how much of tyler he loved, how much he wanted him as his own. from the gentle curve of his waist to his thighs, to the way his doe eyes droop when he's tired, brendon was entranced, like he couldn't get enough of tyler. his thoughts trailed off to other about tyler, like how his voice is the fucking cutest, or the way his ass looks so good in jeans. he kept on thinking, eventually falling asleep in a weed-soaked haze.

the first period bell rang, and tyler was out the door. he wanted to see brendon, it was like he worshipped him, he felt so much joy when bren would notice him. ty sat down, the class starting, and still no brendon. tyler had waited, and waited, and waited. he grew anxious at the countless possibilities of why brendon wasn't there, his hands starting to shake and his eyes to water. soon enough, after the painstaking last minutes of class, the bell rang, and tyler booked it. he was practically running, to where he didn't know, his head down and face stained with tears of unclear worry. tyler, though, hit a wall, or more so josh. he tumbled back onto the floor, shuffling and attempting to sneak away before josh was pulling him into a hug. he bent down to tyler's ear, whispering softly as to not worry the boy any further.
"hey, darlin', what's the matter? you gotta talk to me."
tyler was cuddled up completely to josh's frame, shaking and shivering like a leaf.
"i-i-i didn't see b-bren an' i got really worried a-an' i got upset and, and-"
josh cut tyler off shushing him and leading him to the library, heading to a remote section and sitting.
he was sat behind tyler, with tyler in between his legs and leaning back against him, hugging josh's arms. josh began to speak, his voice stern yet gentle.
"ty, it's okay, brendon's here. knowing him, he's probably late and will show up soon, okay?"
tyler nodded, slouching into josh more, cuddling his chest as he calmed down. josh sighed in relief, petting the boy's head and whispering sweet nothings into his ears. josh was perplexed, how could something so beautiful be so broken?

it soon came lunch, and josh and tyler, definitely more so tyler, were running to catch up to their gang. brendon had locked with tyler and snatched him up, sending a quizzical look towards josh, josh mouthing that he would 'tell him later.'
brendon knelt down to tyler's sitting level, taking his hand and pecking just below his ear, to which tyler grew florid and nervously giggled.
"flower, you're going to talk to me about what happened later. okay, angel?"
tyler grew somewhat stiff at that remark, but nonetheless looked down at his lap and nodded meekly. brendon, who was smiling to himself triumphantly, mumbled a slight 'good' before turning to dallon and hayley's discussion of what the best strains were. tyler zoned out on the conversation, his complexion becoming increasingly paler. he hadn't eaten in for a while, a few days at least, and he was starting to notice that familiar nausea welling up inside tyler's little body. tyler excused himself to the bathroom, rushing in to the handicapped stall with a clouded head. he clutched the toilet bowl and let it out, not even caring at this point. tyler had always struggled with his image, but his anorexic period was by far the most ghastly. he had made a full recovery a few months ago, gaining his shape back and a little more. but, he couldn't take not having that gratifying sting of bile in his throat, so he started purging, and then starving. in reality, his sickness never left, it just took a few months off. tyler seemed to be done,m and went to flush, until he noticed a familiar red hue dripping out of his mouth. tyler was mortified, his face paling significantly.
the boy had been in the bathroom for about a half hour, unbeknownst to him, and brendon had grown worried. he had excused himself to find ty, rushing out of the courtyard and into the nearest family bathroom, (why the school had them was unclear) standing horrified and saddened. there sat tyler on his knees, choking back tears and coughing up bile and blood. tyler stilled, not noticing brendont, and stuck his fingers down his throat, gagging and repeating. brendon had had enough, and pulled tyler away from the toilet, planting him in brendon's lap. tyler sobbed, his head in the crook of brendon's neck, brendon shushing him and rubbing circles in his waist.
this boy needed serious help, and it was astounding that no one took that initiative sooner. after all, if it only took brendon a couple of weeks to notice that, imagine how long his family has known.
the two boys sat there for a second, one wishing he was dead and the other so glad that he wasn't. the room had such a dim mood to it, and both boys were itching to get out.
so, that they did, brendon wiping away tyler's tears and giving his a stick of gum, before snaking his hands around tyler's waist and squeezing.
it was in that moment, to tyler, that he truly felt cared for in a very long time.
