tyler's first period class was pretty uneventful. the subject was math, and although the frail boy wasn't incredibly obtuse regarding the topic it was nonetheless mundane. the bell had just rang, and tyler was eyeing his schedule.
first period: math, room 320
second period: creative writing, room 218
third period: honors english, room 410
lunch
fourth period: theatre, east auditoriumonce tyler had realized where his next class was, he was on the move, getting there just in the knick of time. the room was buzzing, with students of all types of different styles and backgrounds; ty was amazed. he stood, though, along the wall close to the door- where he was hidden in plain sight. the bell rang once more and the teacher, miss lauper, stood up wildly, her curly pink tresses whipping around. she introduced herself with a striking aire of peculiarity about her. after all the formalities were settled she allowed all students to walk around and talk amongst one another, and meet new people along the way. tyler stood still in his place, anxiety rising and self-esteem plummeting. tyler had been spotted though, by brendon nonetheless. he made his way over to ty, sending him a reassuring smile and a nod. he bent down, him being much, much taller than tyler, and whispered into his ear what was believed to be a soothing question.
"nice to see ya' again love, i'd missed you. do you want to come sit with me and just calm down?"
tyler nodded slowly, and found his hand wrapped around brendon's, being taken to a semi-remote corner of the classroom. the pair sat down, hands still locked together. tyler was puzzled; why was he so comfortable with this stranger?
⚣
the hour had passed and brendon had managed to get his small counterpart to calm down, the two on their way to their next hour, ty's being honors english and bren's being study hall. when the two parted ways, bren had given ty a smile and a small squeeze, telling him he'd see him soon. when he got to class, ty had sat in the back, trying to be unnoticed when he was approached by a student with a buzzed. head and a nose ring. he smiled at ty, asking him softly if he was the boy brendon had been talking about. tyler grew florid, bowing his head and muttering out a reply.
"m-maybe, he's quite sweet."
the dark haired student chuckled and sat down next to him.
"he is, he's been texting me all about you. oh shit, sorry hun, i'm josh, josh dun. brenny and i are great friends."
tyler nodded, smiling up at josh. and giggling at the way he smiled. jon chuckled too, so engrossed with how the pure and gracious this little cherub was. throughout the class period the pair stood side-by-side, keeping each other company and talking away. when the period ended the pair walked to lunch together, josh leading the smaller boy to a secluded table outside, where brendon and a few others sat. the crowd of people had noticed the two, whooping and hollering, shouting 'hellos' and such. brendon stood and greeted tyler, guiding him to sit beside him. bee had also began to introduce tyler, yelling for everyone's undivided attention.
"friends, i have here with me an angel who goes by the name of tyler. may you treat him well and shower him in love."
when the boy had finished, tyler was blushing like mad, smiling and hiding his face in his hands. the rest laughed and awwed, surely becoming intrigued of this boy. the group quieted, and girl with madcap ginger hair had spoken.
"hey, i'm mandy! she/her please."
the kid next to her spoke next.
"hayley, and they/them my dear."
the cycle continued, everyone introducing themselves.
"i'm dallon, he/him."
"ash, they/them please!"
"hi, jon, a dude to the max."
"hello hun! i'm jenna, this is my girlfriend debby, and we both use she/her!"
tyler smiled and said hi, his soft, higher-pitched voice ringing melodically.
"oh, well, i'm tyler, he/they is preferred, t-thanks."
the whole table bellowed out a chorus of 'awws,' tyler blushing like a fool. josh had been quick to know ty's growing uncomfort, signaling the crowd not to further embarrass the poor thing.
the rest of lunch everyone had talked and got to know tyler,
josh and brendon becoming exceptionally knowledgeable about the exquisite boy. the lunch bell had rang and everyone had began walking to theatre class. the group had all met in theatre for the most part; it was their thing. the theatre teacher was astounding, her name was ms. costello, and she had killer hair. they went over orientation and future productions and had played theatre games for the rest of the period. soon enough, the class ended and everyone was saying goodbye, parting ways to different avenues and streets. before that though. they all exchange numbers, tyler's phone filling up rather quickly. before the boy could leave, though, brendon had took his hand, kissing it and sending tyler away with an intensely sweet reminder.
"you're the brightest star there is, tyler, remember that for me."

the night was passing, tyler's mother still not being home despite her recent claim of being there before 9:00 pm. he had spent most of the night watching netflix and baking in his underwear, along with receiving a load of texts from everyone he had met that day. he had just received a text from brendon, to which tyler's face lit up at.
(212) 974-1932: hey ty, it's beebo. how are ya, love?
ty smiled at that, changing his contact to "beebo 💒."
(212) 882- 2449: hi beebo! m good, how are u??
after tyler replied, his plugged his phone, whisking away and dreaming of what was to come the next morning.
