     "Yes, Director Lee, I'm on my way and- No, I didn't send the domestic papers over to the Pentagon yet but I'm working on it I just- Yes Director Lee you know this job means a lot to me why would it- Yes Director I understand. Alright well I'll see you- Hello? Director Lee? Director Lee? Fucking asshole." I hung up the phone angrily and struggled to hold up the stacks of files in my arms. After this, I never wanted to see another Manila envelope in my life, let alone another paper product.

But my oh so kind and caring boss, FBI Director Lee Minhyuk, would never let that happen. I was, after all, his favorite agent.

At least that's what he told me when he wasn't busy chewing me out for finishing my assignments too slowly.

Or putting too much sugar in his coffee.

Or wearing shoes that were too loud on the hardwood floors of his office.

    Or- well you get the point. Basically, Minhyuk was almost always chewing me out, so compliments were of a rare and sparse variety. Despite this fact though, I had a tiny, minuscule, MICROSCOPIC, crush on him. I thought about these things as my work heels went loudly clacking down the hall, my arms still struggling to hold up the stacks of files on domestic terrorism in my hands. Looks like Minhyuk would be complaining about my heels today. Despite my boss starting every day of his life with a stick up his ass, working at the Bureau had its perks. For one, the hallways were all glass one side and therefore had amazing views of the world around. The glass ran parallel to the outdoors so everyday when the sun rose or set I just took my coffee or my water bottle and sat in the hallway. Minhyuk liked to make fun of me for it but I didn't care, it was one of the only things that gave me peace in this hellhole.

    Due to my sudden influx of work though, not only had I missed the sunset, but it seemed as though I'd be working overtime. I huffed and opened the door to my office with my foot, letting the files drop down onto my mahogany desk with a big thud before turning on my desk lamp. I nearly screamed when my desk chair turned around and I caught a glimpse of a smirk.

Not from the chair, but from Director Lee Minhyuk.

   You know those cheesy action movies where the villain has his hands steepled in front of him and a white, fluffy cat on his arm? Well if Minhyuk had a white cat, I'd definitely question the reality of my life versus whether or not it was just a laughable Michael Bay movie. "JESUS DIRECTOR LEE YOU ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK." I shouted, clutching at the black work blouse I was wearing where my heart was. He cackled (once again, reminding me of some cheap villain) and stood up from my chair, choosing instead to play with the picture frames I keep on the corner of my desk. "Y/N, how many times have I told you to call me Minhyuk?" I blushed, but cleared my throat and regained my composure quickly. "I'd say more than a few times...Director Minhyuk." I teased, calling him by his name by still adding Director, before getting to work on organizing the files on my desk by date and letter. He shot me a handsome smile and I couldn't help but swoon. When I started this job, I expected this place to be run by some old crusty white guy, not the youngest FBI Director the country had seen, and certainly not one this attractive. Tapping his finger on the desk a few times he said, "take a look at file M, number 5-14 and meet me in my office when you're done." I shot him a puzzled look as I watched him walk out my office door, "but Minhy-" He stuck his head back in through my door and shook it back and forth. "No but's, doll face. I'll see you soon." He sent a wink in my direction and I made my way my chair, flopping down and letting out a deep breath. It wasn't a stretch to say that every time Minhyuk wasn't yelling at me he had some sort of an effect on me. Pushing any thought of inappropriate work relationships aside though, I opened up the specified file and began reading.

~~~20 minutes later~~~
    I opened the door to Minhyuk's office and let it slam back against the yellow wall, my heels clacking loudly as I stomped in. Minhyuk just sat behind his black desk with a small smile on his face, almost as if he'd been expecting this. "What the FUCK is this, Minhyuk?" I growled at him, tossing the file onto his desk with a slap. He laughed. "I take it you read the whole thing?" "Damn right I read the whole fucking thing, and right about now I should be contacting the FUCKING OVAL OFFICE." I shook my hands violently as I spoke. "Before you do that, sweets, mind if I explain?" Minhyuk said, standing up slowly. I backed up, hot fury spreading its way down my body. "No you can't fucking explain, Minhyuk, you're the director of the fucking FBI, and here you are, committing acts of domestic terrorism with the VERY gang, MX, we've been trying to track down for months, months, Minhyuk!" I hissed at him, and despite all of my anger that impenetrable smile was still on his face. "Come on, Y/N, you read the file, you of all people should know that it's more than that." I shook my head in disbelief and backed up towards the door, reaching for my cellphone in my back pocket. Minhyuk slowly moved around his desk and towards where I was standing. "Don't take another step, Lee Minhyuk." I said, trying to sound threatening. But in all honesty, I was just feeling betrayed. This was a man I had worked with for a few years now, a man I had feelings for, and might have wound up dating or married to or-
Okay so I'm getting carried away.
   The point is, though, that Minhyuk was currently #1 on my enemies list, and technically, he was #1 on the national public enemies list too. After being lost in my own thoughts for a bit, I realized I had a decision to make.
Rat Minhyuk out, or let him persist as the eyes and ears for MX within government walls.
     I met Minhyuk's dark brown orbs with my own e/c ones. At this point he was smiling, but the smile didn't reach his eyes, and it was frightening to see. I slowly continued reaching my hand into my back pocket, planning on calling our Bureau supervisor and telling them everything. Minhyuk's eyes quickly darted to the movement of my hand and he laughed.
    The next few things happened within the blink of an eye. I pulled my phone out, but as soon as I did Minhyuk lunged at me and shut his office door, pressing me up against it with his hand over my mouth. My eyes were wide in shock and at the feeling of his warm body on mine. He simply plucked my phone from my hand and threw it towards the back of the room. "Cozy, isn't it dollface?" He mumbled into my ear, and I visibly shivered. His eyes darkened and he smiled. "I'll move my hand from your mouth if you promise not to scream, Y/N," I was about to shake my head in protest before he continued, "if you don't promise not to scream, I'll just strangle you." That same dashing smile spread over his face, but now that I knew the menace that lay underneath I felt a different kind of attraction towards him. Slowly I nodded my agreement and he kissed my nose, removing his hand from my mouth and stroking my hair instead. "Good girl." He said, looking deeply into my eyes. I looked back into his with a mix of confusion and excitement. He leaned in to kiss me when I stopped him, pushing my body away from his lightly. "Minhyuk...I...I want to it's just-" "You can't break the rules." I looked up at him and gave him a pleading look. He tousled his dark brown hair and exhaled loudly, taking a step back from me. I dusted imaginary dust off my clothing and got ready to leave, to forget all of this. "Well I-" "Fuck the rules." Minhyuk growled, and out of nowhere his lips were on mine. His kiss was biting and rough, nothing like his otherwise bubbly personality would've suggested. Then again, I had also found out he was a gang member, so perhaps he wasn't exactly the man I knew anyways. His hand fisted in my hair and my own hands grabbed his tie. Our teeth clicked together violently but I couldn't have cared less, my body heat was rising and the air was being stolen from my lungs. "Minhyuk this is-" I said between kisses, "wrong?" He finished for me, and smirked against my lips, I in turn giggled against his. "You don't know how long I've-" "Hello, Director Lee I found the flash drive and-" Like deer in headlights both Minhyuk and I turned to look at the sudden arrival to our seemingly private affair. She was an obnoxious secretary who worked under the technology department. "Ms. Barry, hi, yes, could you leave the flash drive on Agent Y/N's desk? Please? Thanks." Ms. Barry just stood there in shock looking between the two of us. "NOW, MS. BARRY." Minhyuk yelled, and the obnoxious blonde woman scrambled off. I laughed and so did Minhyuk. His normal, bubbly smile was back on his face and in that moment I realized just how much I'd missed it. Minhyuk slowly cleared his throat and took a small step back from me after pressing one more kiss to my lips. "You won't call the big wigs right?" He asked, scratching his neck awkwardly. I giggled. "No, Minhyuk, to be honest, there's something alluring about the danger of the whole thing." I confessed, and he smirked.
"That's what I like to hear, sweets."
