It had been a few days since Dan and Phil's 'encounter' , and they were back to normal. Just friends. Dan hated every second of it.

How could Phil just not acknowledge what had gone on between them? He was the one who had instigated it after all, and now he just completely ignores it.

"Are you paying attention, Dan?" PJ said. After what had happened, Dan had decided to tell PJ about it and since then, they'd been hanging out a lot more. He was actually a very cool person.

Dan focused on the present. "Yeah, sorry Peej."

They were in Dan's flat at the moment, talking about the randomest crap. PJ had been telling him some crazy story about something him and Chris had done, but he hadn't been paying much attention.

"Thinking about Phil, again? Stop worrying, he doesn't hate you. You guys still talk, right?" Dan nodded. They still texted and stuff. "That's good. At least he hasn't blanked you or anything."

Dan rolled his eyes at PJ. "Thanks for the awesome pep talk."

PJ laughed and patted his shoulder. "No problem, mate."

They were silent for a few minutes, then PJ cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Can I talk to you about something, Dan?" he asked.

"Of course, what is it?" Dan asked, somewhat concerned. PJ was never a very serious guy, and he wondered what had caused this change in mood.

PJ looked at his hands, cleared his throat again, then faced Dan. "Okay. I have an issue. Like yours, with Phil. I just... I don't know if I... it's, like.... I don't know how to handle it." he said finally, fiddling with his sweater.

Dan stared at him. "Wait." he said. "Are you telling me that you like someone?" PJ nodded, blushing. "Who?"

"You honestly can't tell?" he said. Then he sighed. "It's... it's Chris."

Dan jumped up and grabbed PJ. "Seriously?! Goodness, and I thought I was hopeless."

PJ looked at him, panicked. "What do you mean? You don't think I have a chance?"

Dan laughed at him. "That's not what I was saying. Your hopelessly in love, Peej."

Dan would have never thought PJ had feelings for Chris. Thinking about it now, he did always seem to talk about him. Like, always.

"So are you going to tell him?" Dan asked.

"That's what I was saying! I don't know how to. I mean, what if he doesn't like me back? What if he stops being my friend because I'm gay. I just don't know the consequences."

"That shouldn't stop you, Peej. Just go ahead and tell him, the worst thing he can do is say no."

PJ laughed. "Why don't you do the same for Phil then, Mr. Love Expert."

Dan blushed again and looked down. He did have a point.

"We're a mess, Dan." PJ said after a few moments of silence. He laughed weakly, staring at his hands. "It can't be that hard, can it? I mean, people do it all the time."

"Yeah, but this is different, PJ. We're different."

At that moment, PJs phone rang, and his face lit up when he saw who it was. "It's Chris."

  Dan laughed. "I gathered that."

PJ stood and walked into the kitchen, answering the call excitedly. Dan smiled at PJs giddiness, wondering if that's what he was like with Phil. Most likely.
