Chapter 5

~okay if u have seen the "Hi" thing I posted it pretty much explained, along with some other stuff, that I had finished watching blue exorcist so I'm gonna(try to) incorporate some of the scenes in the series into this story, but since I've finished it I've been reconsidering how I was going to end it. But I'll worry about that later, here's this!~

Chapter 5

Seira's POV

My eyes fluttered open when the distinct sound of snoring echoed through my slumber, I glanced around what I had recognized as Rin and Yukio's dorm and spotted the source of the sound. I was lying back in Rin's bed and I saw that Rin was the one snoring face down on the floor. I remembered that he had went to sleep in his brothers bed but Yukio must have come back either late at night, or early in the morning, and reclaimed it.

It looked like if Yukio was ever here he had left so I got up, but looking down I discovered that I was still in my make-shift dress covered in dirt and holes. I sighed and walked quietly over to what seemed to be a closet and opened it, grabbed a handful of clothes, and went in search of a place to freshen up. I found that there was no one else in the building so I went into the girls bathroom I found and took a quick shower in attempt to wash away the mud and bruises.

Afterwards I dressed in the clothes I collected from the boy's wardrobe only to find they were too big, but I had expected as much and I headed back to the room when I remembered I left my shoes. I opened up the door slowly in hopes of leaving Rin to sleep in peace, but I tripped through the doorway and was pounced on by some cat I hadn't noticed before. It was mewling loudly and somehow I could understand its thoughts. Which of course meant it was a demon. Great.

"Rin! Wake up! There's a robber wearing your clothes!" Rin stirred and turned over showing me that he could hear the demon cat too, "Shh!" I coaxed it but it only cried out louder. I began to panic so grabbing the nearest pillow I jumped on top of it and muffled it's mewls, it worked for awhile until I felt something happening. The cat was growing! It soon got too big for the room and I saw one of its rear paws land right on top of Rin's gut, he gasped and his eyes jerked open.

"Wha?! Kuro? What are you doing?!" He yelled at the feline causing it to change back to regular size, I stood back with an embarrassed grin and Rin began to sit up with Kuro wagging his two tails and running circles around him, asking who I was and how he knows me. Once Rin looked over at me I laughed at his expression, "Why are you wearing my clothes?" he asked as he rubbed his eyes, I folded my arms and smirked "Whenever I used to stay over at your place for the night you always let me borrow a shirt, and since my stuff is all the way over at my dorm I figured I'd use what I had at my disposal. There a problem with that?" I asked in a challenging way, but he simply shrugged and said "Whatever floats your boat then."

While I spent a few more minutes of trying to convince the little demon cat that I was a friend Rin had fallen back to sleep. I woke him up three times until I finally had to just pull him out of bed and into the dining hall where through the kitchen window I could see a little creature that I recognized as Mephisto's familiar hard at work. As soon as the scent of food hit Rin's nostrils he became wide awake and ended up joining the familiar in making breakfast while I sat at the window watching the two of them do what they did best.

Still a little drowsy my thoughts drifted to a distant memory of me and Rin in the kitchen of the covenant, Rin had on a floral apron two sizes too big that I had found in a closet there and was standing on a chair leaning over the stove. "Rinnnnnn!" I whined from the countertop behind him, "Hurry up! I'm starving!" "Hey I'm working as fast as I can, okay? Besides you can't rush perfection!" "Perfection?" I asked "Every time you make eggs they're crunchy or burnt or too runny!" "Shut up!" he yelled at me making me laugh. The eggs were burnt that time he made them but I never said anything until the time he finally got it right, and from that point on he's always been an amazing cook.
