Clark let out the longest set of curse words anyone has ever heard. He couldn't believe it. This whole thing was a distraction. And a freaking great one at that. Halloween was one of the busiest times of the year and the Fear Monger had to know that. That's why he had this plan set up. He probably had this planned months in advance. Not necessarily on this date, but the Fear Monger always planned to get his child.

"Sir." A SWAT member called out to him. Clark ignored him by walking away from him. Casey was probably in on it, Clark thought. That's why she never acted scared or ready to go. She knew her killer boyfriend was coming to get their child before any tests were performed on him. Chances are that the Fear Monger had those fake bomb threats called in too. Limit their resources so he had time to carry out his plan.

"Sir!" The male's voice said from behind him. Clark spun around to face the man, the rage clear in his eyes.

"What the fuck do you want?!" He screamed at him.

The SWAT member returned his glare. "The team at the courthouse found three bodies. They're still warm. They didn't die that long ago."

Clark rubbed his temples. "Are we sure it was a Fear Monger kill?"

The SWAT member shrugged. "All I know is that there are three dead bodies and a message in a courtroom. But there is no way the Fear Monger could have killed them and kidnapped a baby at the same time." The man walked away after that, leaving Clark alone with his thoughts, which was never a good thing.

The hospital was still on lockdown, so Clark couldn't see Casey until the morning. He went pack to the vehicle he rode in on and demanded to be taken to the courthouse. When they arrived, Clark saw about fifteen officers standing around outside. He hopped out of the car and stormed to the nearest person.

"Why the hell are you standing outside? Go do some actual work!!"

The officer crossed her arms. "A smoke bombs went off upstairs and in the courtroom over. We were all kicked out." Clark cursed again and got back in the vehicle.

"Just go to the damn station." He told the driver. But little did he know that the Beast set the bombs off so he could get the knife that Lily left in the slit of the desk like he told her to do. And if Clark had been paying attention, he would have seen the Beast drive away from the crime scene around the same time he did.

Clark went to the bullpen and found it empty. Clark fell into a chair and pulled out his phone. He dialed Richards to see if he had the girl. It took a couple of rings before Richards answered. "Hello?" He asked.

"Richards, where the hell is the girl?"

Richards let out a deep sigh. "I guess you didn't listen to my message." He replied.

"Oh, I'm sorry that I didn't have time to listen to your voicemail while I've been at three active crime scenes tonight!" Clark responded with a heavy sarcastic tone.

Richards rolled his eyes at his partner. "She escaped. I left for all of five minutes and when I came back she was gone."

Clark couldn't believe his partner let this happen. "She could have been our biggest lead." He snapped.

"Yeah, I know. That's why I'm looking for her." Richards snapped back.

Clark just hung up the phone. He couldn't take listening to his partner one second longer. Now they had no leads, three more bodies, and a missing infant. One of which may not even be related to this case. Clark was so frustrated and pissed. He picked up his phone and dialed another number.
