"Can I ask you a couple questions." he asked looking deep in my eyes.

I knew we would come to this eventually. I nodded. "what's going on?" He asked. I looked out the window.

"Look I think I deserve some type of an explanation. The truth maybe-"

"-that was the truth." I said still looking out the window. "Really? So how did the old prick know your mom?"

"He doesn't." I said facing forward.

"How do he even know your name? If that is your name, your going to have to tell me something."

I wiped my hair out of my face, "I don't know...remember how."

All of a sudden the car was slowing down. He pulled over into the dirt.

I looked at him confused. I was beginning to get scared. "You asked me not to let them take you back. Back where?" He said in a soft calm voice.

I looked down before he could see my tears build up. My chest began to tighten and my face got the burning feeling and with that came the tears. "I'm not going back Aiden." I said feeling overwhelmed with sadness.

I wiped away at tears. "I'm not asking you too, I just want to know the truth. If those guys did this to you tell me now I promise I would go back there and put holes in each and everyone of them-"

"-they didn't touch me." I said replacing each tear I wiped away.

"what about you mom?"  he asked. I looked in his eyes. Not able to speak.

"Is she going to be ok? Should we go pick her up?" He asked looking worried.

"No!"  I said quickly.

I looked away then back at him, "She's fine." I said pulling my hair away from my face.

He quickly got back on the road. "So there's no home in Boiland?" He asked.

I looked at him then out the front window, "hopefully." I said under my breath.

He looked at me for a minute then back out the front window. I lied my head on the side window and closed my eyes.

I needed to rest my mind.

"Just so you know I don't agree with this." Kyran said in a cooling voice.

Agree with what? I asked confused. And he didn't reply. I imagined him standing by a floor to ceiling window, just staring out, wearing a very stern expression.

I miss you Kyran. I thought deeply. And still there was no reply.
