It was cold. I was freezing in the ice water looking for someone.

No. I was waiting for someone.

Kyran. He was suppose to meet me here in the middle of the river? The water was moving rapidly in one direction and I was holding on to a plant beneath the water, but I was losing grip.

I looked across the river and I could see Our Island. Her Island. Suddenly Kyran had emerged from the trees. He looked frighten.

"Ky!!!" I screamed desperate to get his attention.

I was so happy to see him I started to swim towards him but the current forced me away. I quickly grabbed on to the plant and struggled to keep my head above the water.

"Wait! Amai. Just stay there, I'm coming." He said as he basically glided through the water.

I waited impatiently, but the closer he got the more I wanted to let go if the plant and wrap my arms around him and kiss him.

He slowed his stride as he got closer to me and began to doggy pedal closer as I reached for him. He reached back in my direction, his light green eyes glowing under his thick wet eyelashes.

his lips curved into a smile, after see how joyful I was to see him. Suddenly his expression faded into weary.

My heart stoped as I felt the snap from the plant.

"Ky no!!" I screamed as I went floating away from him. The current flipped and fumbled me under the water and I couldn't find my way to the surface. I panicked as I sucked up water and choked.

"Hey! Heeeyyyy!!!! Lady!!!"

I opened my eyes and looked at the man who was holding me. I quickly pulled myself out of his arms.

"Are you ok??" He asked playing a worried expressed face.

I looked around. I was in the front seat of a car. I had never been in a car before. I was wrapped in a fluffy warm jacket and there was heat was pouring out the vents.

"I found you passed out on the side of the road. I thought you could use some medical attention-"

"-how far is it to the next city?" I asked cutting him off.

"Almost three hundred miles, can I ask you how did you get out here?"

He was a caramel skin toned young man with the most kind grey eyes I'd ever seen. I put my hand on my head pretending to have a headache of some sort.

"I... I don't remember." I said wincing.

"Well I could just take you home then, where do you stay?"

I stared at him blankly, not knowing wat to say. "um. If you could just take me to the city I'm sure-"

"I'd feel more comfortable taking you home, there are all types of crazy folks running around here." he said right before he shut the door and walked around to the other side and got in the car.

I watched closely as he put the key into the opening, twisted and started the car up.

I was amazed at how fast a car could go.

"So you live in Boiland?" he asked looking at me then back at the road.

"uhh...um yea....I believe so." I said.

He must of looked at me like i wasn't talking English.

"You believe so?" He asked looking up at my hair then back at the road.
