Chaos

Dick's pov:

I was standing outside with the rest of the group. Percy named us the "Sorry prophecy group" but everyone mainly just says "the group". I think it honestly upsets him.

Next thing I know Stiles ran right into me. I managed to keep my balance, barely.

"Well hello Stiles"

"Did you hear" he was practically jumping out of his skin.

"What?"

"Spider-Man is here! The league actually brought him in!"

I started laughing. Their mistake. Peter is a nice guy. He's an unofficial member of the group. He knew what was going to happen tonight but he couldn't be there. Stark was there. That would have been awkward.

"So now we have a...spider on the wall" I said and Roy just stared at me and shook his head.

Stiles laughed as little. He appreciates my jokes more than Roy anyway.

We waited for awhile. The security had all the guests leave. So the only ones waiting inside the manor grounds was the group. The league and avengers were still inside the manor.

"This is ridiculous. How long does it take them to figure out a game plan?" Jason groaned. He had laid on the grass and starfished out.

"I don't know. Apparently a long time" Scott responded.

Barbara had been staring me down since I got out here. I had a pretty good feeling she knew that this was apart of the plan.

No one was really freaking out because we all knew that this would happen eventually. We have a plan for after this happens. But we need to know what the league-avenger team up does first.

"Why didn't you say anything" it was Barbra in an individual link with me.

"Tell you what?"

"Oh don't play that game with me. You knew this was going to happen tonight. That's why you were so out of it before the party."

I didn't reply. I just looked at her. She was more confused and concerned then angry.

I didn't want to talk to her yet which is why it was a good think that dad and the others walked out.

I saw Peter as he walked by with the avengers. I couldn't see because of the mask but I had this feeling he was winking at me.

The league all left with the avengers but dad stayed behind because he had to deal with the media.

"Go inside and straight up to your rooms. The entire group is staying tonight so bunk up"

We headed inside.

We all just went into my room. The room next to it has a folding wall we had installed to give double the same into the next room. We might has well all bunk in the same space to be safe.

Dad walked in about 20 minutes later.

"Why am I not surprised? Anyway, Dick I need to speak with you"

I got up and followed him out to his office. We got in and he closed and locked the door.

"Really with the headline? Mass panic Dick? That's what you went with?"

I shrugged, "why not? I mean we need to cause panic to give us enough cover to complete the prophecy."

He sighed. He tries to hide it but I know this is hard on him. He doesn't want to lose us and this isn't a safe prophecy. I want to tell him that everything will be okay. But I can't. It's not true. He knows it. I know it. Everyone knows it.

"So what's the wonder squad doing?" I asked

"Yeah nice touch with the forced team up. I have a feeling you just like to torture Tony. Anyway we're going to do meet at the watch tower in an hour. Probably try to figure out who posted the media footage and see if the disease is real." He looked at me. "3 dead? Who's dead Dick?"

"How am I supposed to know? Not my part of the plan. You'll just have to wait and see." I added my signature wicked smile onto the end of that. "Did you see Peter?"

"Hmm. Yeah. Tony kept him pretty close. Didn't want him anywhere near me. Probably afraid I'd steal him. He seemed to be enjoying himself"

"Not surprised."

"We need to move quickly Dick. Once the league and avengers find out that the disease has claimed three people they're going to flip out. It'll be the top news in the country. Maybe the world. You need to be careful. If you get caught I can't help you. That goes for all of you."

"I know, dad. I know. The plan has already been put into place. We're going to start the phases soon. We can't do it until the dream team up makes a move though."

"I know."

"We still have some time dad. We still have some time to just be a family. Use it well."

I started to get up to leave.

"I love you, Dick"

I smiled at him. "I love you too, dad"

I left the office and made it back to my room.

"Alright losers. Wanna watch the absolute panic on the news?" I asked as I walked back in.

"Well obviously. We already popcorn." Wally handed a bowl to me.

"We determine our density  by the actions we take today"
