Chapter 16

"Jake! Mark! What are you guys doing here!?" Holy shit, I did not expect them home! This is the best news ever! I missed them so much!

"Well we were told our baby sister was in the hospital, soooo we got family leave." Mark said smiling at me.

"Mark, tell her the truth!" Jake said to him, the truth? Why would there be a truth? 

"Okay, the truth is...we are done serving! We were done on your birthday but we wanted it to be a suprise to you!" Holy shit! My brothers are actually home!

"Oh my gosh! I missed you so much! You get to stay home this time!" 

"Yes, we are done serving in Iraq. We are home and ready to get some ladies!" Jake yelled. Only them would be concerened about meeting some girls.

"Where is your husband? I want to meet him? Does he treat you good?" Mark looked at me and asked. Holy cow what do I say to them? I have never lied to my brothers before. I should just tell them.

"Okay if I tell you something, can your promise not to tell anybody? And don't tell mother and daddy you know?"

"Yes of course, why are you getting a divorce already? You've been married for what two weeks? Thats less time than Kim Kardashions wedding!" Jake laughed at me.

"No, mother and dad set up an agreement. They got money and the advertising company would merge with Johnson Commercials--"

"Isn't that Colton's families?" Mark interrupts me

"Yes, Mark that is, now if you would let me finish telling my story, you would figure out everything!"

"Sorry sis."

"Okay anyway, they got the merge and money, but the catch was, I had to marry Colton for at least two years."

"What the fuck is wrong with mom and dad? Don't they know not to sell their children? That pisses me off!" Jake yells with fury. "Next time I see them I am going to give them a piece of my mind!"

"Jake no! You promised you wouldn't say anything remember?! So please don't bring it up!" I exclaimed at him. Good golly. What would happen if they found out they knew? Would it all be over and we would lose our control of the company? Would we not get the money. Ugh just thinking about this is giving me a headache! 

"Valerie, we need to do another check on you, since you may have high blood pressure since you have been yelling a lot this morning." Dr. Splock says as he walks into the room. "Hello, I'm Dr. Splock, I did surgery to realign Valeries bone in her leg. And who might you two men be?" 

"I'm Jake, and this is Mark. We're the twin older brothers." Hah my favorite siblings also, so they could have just said the awesomest brothers ever.

"Oh right. You're parents had two girls also if I remember right. The twin family." Dr. Splock says. Uhm excuse me?! Who does he think he is! I am part of this family too!

"Uhm, Mrs. Johnson, we need to check you now, so can you tell your brothers to leave? They can come back in 10 minutes if everything goes as it should. Then they can wheel you down the hall to see your friend if you would like?" Holy shit yes! I want to see Kate so badly right now!

"Alright, bye Val, we will be back in 10. Love ya sis." Mark said as they exited the room. I just really want to go home right now. 

"Okay, Mrs. Johnson, you're all good, we will probably keep you overnight tonight just to make sure nothing else happens. You are free to go see your friend."

"Thank you Doctor. Can you go get my brothers for me?" He shakes his head yes and walks out of the room.

Why does my life feel like everything happening in it is bad? I just wish for once things would go the way I want....
