The Forced Marriage

Chapter 17

Mark wheels me back into my room after going into Kates room, and seeing her hooked up to all of these machines makes me want to cry. I did this to her. I should have told her to wear her damn seatbelt. I feel so bad! Jake lifts me up so I can get back on my bed. "We're going to head out now, visiting hours are almost over. We love you." Jake says.

"Wait I have a question? Has daddy been here at all?" I would hope he has been, some parenting it would be if he wasn't.

"Uhm, dad and mom went out of town for buisness, sis. They get back next week, I'm sorry." What the actual fuck is this? Why wouldn't they come back if they knew I was in the hospital! Surely Colton would have told them. I mean he clearly likes my parents more than he likes me. 

"Have they atl east called to see how I am? Cause if not that's horrible. I will probably cry." I am so pissed off right now its not even funny. The boys shake their head no and I hold in my tears.

"We are so sorry. We would stay longer but we have to go to this dinner thingy mabob..Love you."

"Love you too." I watched the boys leave and I lean back into my bed. My leg is really bothering me, so I close my eyes and try to go to sleep.

I wake up and Colton is sitting there staring at me. 

"Hey. How are you feeling?" He asks me. Well should I tell him I feel fine or the truth? The truth probably.

"My leg really hurts right now and I don't know why." He starts laughing at me. "What is so funny Colton?"

"You broke your leg genius of course its going to hurt. Do you want me to call a nurse in here to give you some meds?" I nod my head yes and Colton leaves the room. Wow why is he being so nice? Maybe he actually wants to try and be friends?

The nurse walks into the room. "Hello Mrs. Johnson, I'm just going to give you some medicine to help your leg pain, it may knock you out for awhile but it should help!"

"Valerie I have to tell you somethings. I think they are really important and you should know about it."

I wait until the nurse leaves to ask him "What do you need to talk about?" I hope its nothing bad, like maybe he wants a divorce and we can still merge the companies. Wait how is that bad, thats actually a good thing. Like who wouldn't want to divorce the man you don't love?

"I never went and slept with that Stacey girl, the only reason I was going to was because she claimed she knew that we weren't really married, well I mean we are really married but you know what I mean. She said if I didn't sleep with her she would out our story to the press. But I was never going to do it after I saw you get so mad. I actually want us to kinda maybe have a good relationship and be friends by the time the two years is over. Who knows, maybe our parents will come to an agreement and have us only be married for a year or so!"

"Ha yeah, then we can maybe actually find our true love, as it seems I suck at picking men. And why didn't you just tell  me that from the beginning Colton? It would have made things so much easier between us, and I mean I shouldn't care who you sleep with but it still made me angry."

"I'm sorry Valerie, Truce?" Ha yeah maybe we can actually be friends. Holy I forgot! I wonder if Colt got me a gig on the voice?

"Truce! Hey did you call about going on the Voice?"

"I'm sorry Valerie, they're full this season, but they said to call back after this season ends and they may be able to fit you in they said. So if you still want to do it then, I will call  back for you!"

"Thanks Colton, that means a lot to me. I think I'm going to go to sleep so you can go home and get me in the morning if you want? That would be fine by me?! I mean who would want to sleep on that yucky chair, just looking at it makes me cringe."

"Actually I've been sleeping on the chair for the past four days. It was very uncomfortable." Wait, he was here the whole four days I was out? Awwhh, maybe he isn't joking, he might actually want to be friends and I would love to be his friend!

"Awhh, Colton, Thanks for staying here with me since my parents decided work was much more important than me! Like who does that to their own child? I never will!"

"Haha goodnight Val, I'll be here to pick you up in the morning!"

"Goodnight Colton, See you in the morning." Oh my gosh I didn't yell at him for calling me Val. Ha I'm going to be a good friend. Now time for some sleep so I can wake up in the morning! I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

I HAD SO MANY FINALS TO STUDY FOR AND THEY REALLY SUCKED AND I JUST HATE SCHOOL LIKE REALLY HATE SCHOOL. BUT ITS SUMMER NOW! AND I SHOULD BE ABLE TO UPDATE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK SO THAT IS GREAT :) BUT IT DEPENDS ON HOW LATE MY SOFTBALL GAMES RUN, I HAVE GAMES ON MONDAY, WEDNESDAYS, AND SOMEDAYS FRIDAYS. SO MY UPDATING SCHEDUALE WILL BE TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS UNLESS I TELL YOU OTHERWISE :) SO SEE YOU TUESDAY!
