Eva Rose's P.O.V.

I woke up the next morning with my iPod lit up. They were all twitter notifications. I unlocked it and checked to see what the commotion was about. HOLY CRAP! Tyler Oakley AND Christian Novelli saw my tweets from last night and retweeted them. They also followed me, along with a couple of my other favorite youtubers. AND they tweeted to their fans to check out my channel. This is the best thing to ever happen to me!

I tweeted to both of them and thanked them for their feedback on my videos. Then I took out my laptop and checked YouTube. I had at least 10,000 views on each of my videos, and I went from having 4,000 subscribers to having 300,000 subscribers overnight. I was absolutely ecstatic! I read some of the comments on my videos, and they were mostly positive, but there were a few negative ones. Then I saw the replies to the negative ones. There were people who actually stuck up for me for the first time in my life.

I realized that in all this madness, I had no idea what time it is. I looked at the time. 5:47 a.m. Shit! I don't have time to make my father breakfast. I also barely have enough time to get to school. I decide to face the consequences of not making my father breakfast. I quietly get dressed and ready for school, and then I move the furniture from my door as quietly as I could.

My father luckily didn't hear me, so I grabbed my penny board, opened my window, and climbed out onto the fire escape. I climbed down and headed off towards school. I stopped at McDonalds to get a coffee, and while I was waiting, I logged onto the free wifi. I cheched my business (YouTube) email and there was one that especially caught my eye. It was from PlaylistLiveOrlando@gmail.com (A/N I don't know if its an actual email or not) and I opened it. It said:

"Dear Miss Evangeline Rosalie Peterson,

We have recently received a flurry of requests from your viewers, fans, and even other trusted youtubers, such as Mr. Tyler Oakley, Mr. Christian Novelli, Miss Zoella Sugg, and Mrs. Louise Watson, that asked if you would like to come to PlayList Live this spring of 2014. (A/N I know it already happened, but bear with me)

If you wish to come, your plane ticket, hotel, and transportation will be fully paid for. Dining accommodations and extra spending money will have to be provided yourself. You will also be expected to do meet&greets, signings, and performances. We understand that you have made a few videos of you singing, and they are your most popular, so you might be singing with some other youtubers at a live performance.

If you would like to come, please call this number: (555) 555-5555. If you have any questions regarding this email, please contact that number. Thank you, and we hope to see you at Playlist Live 2014!

Sincerely,

Playlist Live staff amd events planners."

When I read this, my first thought was, "You have got to be kidding!" And then I thought, well, it's a likely situation, considering my new success. Right as I finished reading this, my coffee was ready, so I paid for it and left. I penny boarded the streets to get to school, keeping my eye out for a pay phone. I finally found one when I was a couple minutes from school. I went over to it and put in my quarters. I then dialed the number from the email. The phone rang a few times before someone answered.

(E=Eva Rose; P=Playlist staff)

P: Hello. Playlist Live events coordinator. Who is calling?

E: This is Evangeline Rosalie Peterson. I received an email regarding a request for me to come to Playlist?

P: Yes. We have you on our list. Playlist Live is at the end of this week. It is Tuesday now and your flight would be on Thursday morning. I know it is short notice, but consider it?

E: I would love to come. My mother has passed away and my father is out of town, so will I be allowed to come without an adult?

P: Yes, you will. We will give you a two way plane ticket. The flight to Florida on Thursday and the flight back to...New York on Monday. We will also book you a room for your entire stay. The actual Playlist Live events don't start until Friday evening, so you still have a day to explore. If you would like, we can arrange with another adult youtuber for you to share a room with them, if that makes you more comfortable.

E: All of this sounds great. Thank you so much. I live right by John F. Kennedy Airport, so if you could get my plane ticket for there, that would be great. And about the rooming with someone else, can it be Louise Watson, Tyler Oakley, or Christian Novelli? Those are my favorite people to watch, and they were the ones to help me get my success.

P: JFK Airport? We have one other youtuber flying from there. His name is ThatSoJack, or Jack Baran. We can get a seat next to him for you. We try to keep youtubers who are on the same flight in seats that are near each other. We can also contact Tyler, Christian, and Louise for you and check about the rooms.

E: Thank you so much!

P: You're welcome. Do you have a cell phone number that we can call you at?

E: No. But I do have a personal email address that I check frequently.

P: That will also work. What is it?

E: The address is: Eva.rose.peterson.lovely@gmail.com.

P: Thank you very much. I will be in touch.

E: Thank you. I look forward to Playlist Live! Goodbye!

P: Have a nice day!

Then we both hung up.

Little did they know that I was not going to use the return ticket. I planned on bringing everything that I own (which isn't much) to Florida, not telling my dad where I went, and never coming back to my hell of a life here in New York with my dad.

I then rode my board the rest of the way to school. Dreading it with my entire body.
