Flower

Today, I grieve.

I grieve for you.
I grieve for what could have been.

A lost and wilting flower.
You caught my eye.
I brought you back to life,
But it wasn't enough for you.
So you go back to wilting.
The beautiful flower you were when I first saw you.
The potential,
The hope,
The sorrow.

It floods your veins.
Just like it now floods mine.

Today, I grieve for me.
For the life that once was.
Today, the sorrow floods my veins.
Just like it did yours.

Today, I am the flower.

Lost and wilting.
