Infected

Chapter 14

Ash, Misty, Clemont and Lucario and the trainer returned to the camp as the moon had started to reveal itself. They were welcomed by the gate guards, and the group split as Ash brought Lucario to the medical facility and the the other three split back to the camp.

As Ash, Suicune, Pikachu and Lucario made their way to the facility, Ash connected back with Lucario. It was easier with Lucario, as he was open with his aura bond. They spoke back and forth as they walked.

"So, how were you hurt? Your arm," Ash asked, looking to the still raw scar that now traced across Lucario's chest and down his arm. The Pokemon moved his shoulder at the mention.

"I had an unlucky interaction with a genetic modified Meowth," he mumbled. Pikachu's ears perked in curiosity, and it chirped a question. Lucario huffed.

"A lot of different Pokemon were modified. They tried to get me to stay in Mega Evolution, but then the outbreak, and most of us were released. Unfortunately, some were infected and attacked others. I was one..." His ears flattened slightly, and Ash felt the fear and uncomfortableness tumble off him in waves, "I was one of the lucky ones."

Ash cringed of the thought of more injured Pokemon like Lucario.

"I'm sorry I left you with a scar like that," Ash mumbled quietly. Lucario's eyes widened in alarm.

"Why are you sorry? You saved my life!"

"They all said that,"

Suicune gave Ash a concerned glance, before stopping and looking forwards, "We're here."

Lucario thanked Ash once again as a nurse emerged outside and brought the dog in for an inspection. Ash hopped off Suicune's back and began to walk back to the tents. Suicune stopped him.

"Wait."

Ash turned around curiously, noticing how Suicune hadn't moved a bit from where he stopped. Furrowing his brows, Ash turned in his heels, and Pikachu hopped off.

"Suicune?" Ash asked. The dog bowed his head, before turning and guesturing for Ash to get on his back. Ash reluctantly obliged, hopping onto the Pokemon's back as Suicune bounded away out of camp.

They stopped inside the depths of a forest. Bushes stopped the veiw in front of them.

"What's going on?" Ash whispered. Suicune remained silent, pushing the two into the bush. Suddenly, a wave of power washed over Ash, making his eyes go wide. Water could now be heard through the bush, and light had started to filter through.

*That's not right. It was night a second ago* Ash thought as they left the bush tunnel. Ash's mouth open it awe at the sight.

Before the two, was a large lake and a waterfall, full of healthy Pokemon running around. Berries and trees lined the bushes, and sun light bathed the clearing in heat. Small patches of flowers were spotted around.

"Whoa," was all Ash managed to say. Out of nowhere, Ash was flung of Suicune's back with an invisible force. The object materialized and revealed Latias, who was hugging Ash like it was the last thing she'd do.

"Latias?" Ash couldn't believe it as he took another quick glance around the paradise. Most legendary Pokemon were there too.

Mewtwo was sitting on a rock, staring at him intently, Raikou and Entei had started making their way to Suicune, Darkrai was sitting in a patch of flowers.

The red Pokemon chirped, before flying back into the water. Ash smiled, before he felt the presence of Suicune beside him. He turned to see that Suicune had in fact been joined by the other legendary dogs.
