I wasn't sure how long I was crying, but Tori eventually shook me, breaking me from my trance.
"Yuki...it's over. There's nothing that we can do."
I sniffed and wiped a few tears from my eyes. "You're right...all we can do now is make sure sh-she gets back to Sanda...and make sure that Tochi and Meku know th-that she died as a result of M-Moeru..."
Tori nodded as she helped me to my feet. "We'll do that for sure, don't you worry, Yuki."
"I see you two finally did it," a male voice suddenly said. "Though it is a shame Sakurs had to die."
I looked in the direction of the voice, slightly growling. "Who's-" I cut myself off when I saw that it was Kasai. "...oh, what do you want?" I mumbled.
Kasai sighed, putting his hands in the air. "I mean no harm. I've told you before, but I'll tell you again. Moeru was the evil one here. Never did I tell him to come and kill you. Usually, it's that I'll tell whoever my child is to wait here for the other three, but it seems as if Leo, er, Moeru decided to break that tradition. And for that, I am truly sorry. However, what I said earlier is still true. I wish to end the rivalry between Fubuki and myself. That's why I want to return to Shimo with you two. Now, I'm not saying that you have to come with me, because I'm sure there's much in Sanda that'll need to be done once we return."
Tori nodded. "I don't see why he can't come with us. You opposed to it, Yuki?"
I shook my head. "Not at all."
Kasai nodded. "In that case, I'll go and tidy myself up real quick. Can you two wait here until then?"
I nodded. "Of course."
Then without another word, Kasai left the room.Once I was sure that Kasai had left the room, I looked over at Tori and took a deep breath. "Tori, can I tell you, um, something serious? ...actually, it's more like I need to ask you something."
Tori smiled. "You can tell or ask me whatever you want to, Yuki. You should know that."
I nodded. "Right...I just wanted to make sure before I continued..." I then slightly paused before speaking again. "Tori, I've known you for some time now. During that time, we've become close friends. However, in the past week or so, I realized something. Friendship isn't what the two of us need," I said before pausing, hoping to get a reaction from Tori, which I did get.
She looked at me, slightly confused, though the confused look was soon replaced with a blush. "G-go on," she said, still blushing.
I nodded. "You see, I've realized that I've fallen in love with you, Tori. That's why...Tori, will...will you marry me?"
Tori almost immediately nodded. "Of course I will, Yuki! I love you too," she said with a smile.
I smiled, blushing myself, and quickly pulled her in for a kiss.
When she broke, she looked me in the eye. "You know, there is something we're going to have to do when we have kids," she said.
"And what exactly is that?" I asked.
Tori smiled. "When we have a little girl, we're going to have to name her Sakura."
I smiled. "You know what, I think that that's an amazing idea."About five minutes later, Kasai came back into the throne room, carrying a small bag. "So, are you two...lovebirds ready to go?" he asked with a smirk.
I blushed. "How did you...?"
Kasai chuckled. "Trust me, Yuki, I have my ways of knowing."
Tori sighed. "Anyways, to answer your question, Kasai, yes, we are ready."
Kasai nodded. "Good. In that case, who's going to carry Sakura? I'm going to get us there by using a teleportation spell."
I sighed. "I'll carry her. I'm much stronger, anyways."
Tori nodded. "Sounds good to me."
With a sigh, I went over to Sakura and picked her up. "I'm ready when you are."
Kasai then looked at Tori. "Tori, grab onto Yuki with one arm, amd onto me with the other."
Tori nodded, and did as Kasai instructed, and in an instant, we were standing right inside of Sanda, in fact, we were standing right outside of Castle Kazan. It was evident that people knew exactly who Kasai was, and what he looked like, as all the people in the immediate surrounding area backed away as far as they could. However, they then realized that I was holding Sakura.
Many whispers then began to circle the crowd, and people were talking about various different things, the main topic was discussing if Sakura was dead, or merely knocked out.
It was no surprise that in a matter of minutes, Meku was rushing out of the castle towards us. However, the fact that did surprise me was that he was being followed by a female, who looked oddly like Sakura, yet different, as if she was her mother or something. And that's when it hit me it was her mother. I don't know when it happened, bit apparently it looked like Tochi had become her human form and came to Sanda.
"Sakura!! Is she okay?!" I heard Tochi call out in the voice I knew belonged to her.
I bit my lip. "I...Tochi, I'm sorry..."
Meku then came up and took Sakura from me, and quickly looked at Kasai. "I know why you're here, now go. Fubuki is waiting for you."
Kasai nodded, and teleported off.
Meku then lookef st me and Tori. "Yuki, Tori, I know you two tried your best to protect Sakura, but in the end it seemed to mean nothing."
I looked at him, slightly confused. "Huh? How do you know what happened?"
Tochi then spoke up. "The truth is, I knew that this would happen, so I showed it to Meku in a dream. I only arrived last night, knowing that this would happen today."
I shook my head, holding back tears. "So...there waz no way we would've been able to save her...?"
Tochi shook her head. "I hate to say it, but that's correct. Though, I'm sure there's another timeline out there, somewhere, where she did manage to survive. However, that timeline isn't this one. We need to accept what happened here, and live with it, even though we may not like it."
Meku nodded. "That was well put, Tochi. Now, what are the two of you going to do, now that all of this is over?"
I sighed. "I...well, Tori and I are actually going to get married. After that...I was thinking that since I'm technically the heir to the throne, that we'd take up being king and queen, and both rule over Samarando."
Meku slightly hesitated before nodding. "That is very possible for us to work out. Now, why don't we get back into the castle? We have a lot of planning to do."
I cocked my head. "We do?"
Meku nodded. "Indeed. We need to plan a funeral, as well as a celebration of life for Sakura. Not to mention, your wedding and coronation also need to be planned."
I slightly chuckled. "So we do have a lot of planning to do, then. Well, let's get to it."
Tori nodded. "Sounds like a plan."
With a nod, the four of us went into the castle.===
Thankfully, everything ended well for everyone. Kasai and Fubuki finally got over their differences, and agreed to stop fighting. Sakura was buried not too long after our return. Not to mention the biggest highlight of all, which was the wedding. It was perfect, and all four dragons were actually in attendance, which was pretty darn cool.
Either way, I'm glad that everything is the way it is. I wouldn't bother changing a single thing.
