Harry's POV
Ever since Mal left the Isle I haven't been myself. I've been more aggressive, more on edge and it takes a lot to calm me down. As bad as I am, Uma is worse. She's always hated Mal ever since she called her shrimpy, but now that Mal was allowed to leave she's been more hateful. Every time someone even mentions Mal or she comes on the TV she throws things or punches people, and Mal's on the TV a lot.
When she first left Mal was on the TV being talked about among the princes and princesses for being evil and Ben was making a huge mistake. Whenever they showed a picture of her I could feel my heart ache and regret washes over me. I should have told her how I felt that night instead of hurting her feelings. Not to mention she's now dating and soon to be engaged to King Ben. Every time they come on the screen together, I feel upset and lash out on the people around me. I've known that I loved her since I was a kid and I should have let her know sooner and now she's gone...
Flashback to when Harry and Mal were kids
It was the first day of 9th grade and Harry was busy getting ready. This was the year that everything changed and kids got separated into their gangs. Harry already guessed that he was going to be in the Pirate gang because of his Dad, but he was worried for Mal. She couldn't be in his group because she didn't know how to fight well like they did, and the other groups had lots of people. She couldn't be sorted into the evil queen group or the evil stepmother group like Evie. Carlos was probably going to be put in the Misfit gang and Jay was probably in the Pirate gang. Mal was most likely to be sorted into the Evil witch group, but the thought of not being with her friends made her angry.
At the sorting 'ceremony' people were shoved into different groups depending on where the older kids thought you fit best. Harry was one of the first kids sorted and was pushed into the pirate gang. Carlos was next and The Queen of Heart's daughter, Rose, and some of her friends were making fun of him and started pushing him around. Before they could push him into the misfits gang, Mal stepped in and put herself between Carlos and the the bullies.
"Enough!" Mal screamed, "Who give you the right to make someone for their looks. And who the hell decided to sort people in groups. No one should be forced to be friends with people just like them."
"Mal if you don't stop right now you'll be in the misfit gang, too." Rose said smirking
"You know what I'm starting my own 'gang'. Anyone that's sick and tired of this BS of sorting feel free to join."
Carlos stood beside her side and the other kids laughed. Then Evie stepped forward and joined them and then Jay. Once a couple more people stepped forward everyone around was in awe. Harry took a step forward and tried to join but Uma held him back.
"You don't want to do that Harry," Uma said
Harry stayed with his group and watched in awe as Mal took control. Rose stood angry as she watched underclassmen and a couple of her friends join Mal's group.
"What are you going to call your stupid gang?" Rose asked
"The VK's" Mal said "For anyone that doesn't want to be singled out and separated from their friends"
Mal signaled for the group to leave and about 2 steps later she turned around and punched Rose in the nose, breaking it. Everyone around gasped and then started laughing. More and more people left with Mal and the only full group left was the pirates and Rose. Harry knew right away that he was madly in love with Mal.
