Chapter 16

A long week passed with Courtney and Olivia not speaking. As far as everyone knew they were still engaged, the wedding had just been postponed. Olivia made attempts to talk to Courtney but never got a word out.

Courtney walked out to the living room and sat on the couch next to Mari, ignoring Olivia. Both of their eyes were red and puffy from crying constantly.
After five minutes of silence Olivia got up, grabbed her car keys and left.
Courtney immediately flung her arms around Mari and began sobbing uncontrollably.
"Mari I don't know what to do"
"Shh it's okay Courtney, I think it's going to get better soon" Mari replied.
"I think I'm just going to go take a nap" Courtney groaned.

Knock knock knock
"What?" Courtney said groggily.
"Court. Can I please come in?" Olivia asked.
"No" Courtney replied
"I'm coming in anyways" Olivia stated and she walked in.
The room was a mess. There were clothes everywhere and the curtains had been drawn making sure no light was coming into the room.
Courtney sat there, silent and trying to hold back tears.
"Courtney, I'm so immensely sorry. You have to hear me out about what happened" Olivia said.
Courtney just nodded and let her continue.
"When you and Mari left Alex asked if we were all just roommates. I said that you and I were engaged and told her when we were getting married. She said that was a shame because she thought 'I was hot' " Olivia said making air quotes.
"Then the next thing I knew she was moving closer to me and I kept backing away until she eventually grabbed my waist and practically forced me to kiss her" Olivia said in tears.
The light in Courtney's face had returned, she was no longer pale but she looked furious.
She stood up and pulled Olivia into a hug and they both started crying.
"I'm so sorry that I didn't hear you out Livy"
"It's okay honey, as long as we're together I'm okay".
Courtney pulled Olivia into a short but sweet kiss then concluded it by saying
"I'll be right back".
Courtney walked out of the apartment with Olivia following far behind wondering what she was doing.
She walked down the hall and began banging on Alex's door. She opened it and stood their with a smirk on her face.
Courtney immediately grabbed her by the shirt and pinned her against the wall.
"IF YOU EVER TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND LIKE THAT AGAIN I WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE!" Courtney yelled.
She could tell Alex was clearly frightened so she let go and returned to her own apartment.
"I love you"
"I love you too Olivia"
