Chapter 2 Charity Event

(Y/N) your name

"please go (Y/N) to the charity ball" begged your boss.
"I'm sorry sir, but no" you said uninterested.
"  Every time that I go I get belittle by the other directors of big hospitals" said sadly.
"Of all the doctors who work full time in this hospital why am I (a part time doctor) that has to go?"
" Even if you're part time doctor, you work in different medical fields when they are understaffed you help as much as you can... You have more knowledge than any one of us in this hospital!!" Exclaimed your boss.
"Fine I'll go for the sake of this hospital" you said defeated.
Your boss hands you the invitation and you read the card:
                     Annual Charity Ball
When: This Saturday may 20th year xxxx
Time: 7:00 pm to 12:00 pm
Where: Gotham Museum
Dress code attire: Formal
Hosted by Wayne Enterprises

You like going to parties but when you go as a representative it's a pain in the butt.
Days passes and the day of the ball is today.
You choose a beautiful long navy blue dress and leave your brown hair down. You get ready and leave and go to charity event.

As soon as you walked in the area where the charity event was, you look amazed. Everything look like from fairytale book. You thought to yourself the money spent in the event could have also been given to the charity, but you didn't give much thought of it. Moments later Bruce Wayne and his 4 sons arrive to the event. Everyone was looking at them like meat but you saw them and didn't have the same reaction. Yours was more like wondering why they have a mysterious aura. You stop thinking about the Wayne's family the moment you saw the chocolate fountain, you didn't think twice where you were going to and kinda rushed where the chocolate fountain was. You grab a strawberry and you put some of the chocolate sauce. You are in a state of a bliss. You didn't notice, but many guys started looking your way when they saw you smile happily while eating the strawberry and thought you were cute.
"Hello there" said one of the guys looking at you.
"Hello" you said shyly.
"I see that you like eating strawberry with chocolate" the guy said.
"Umm yes it's really delicious you should try..."
" Yes yes it must be. Anyways what's your name" the guy said when he interrupted you.
How rude of him you thought to yourself.
"My name is (y/n)" you said
"Oh what a beautiful name. Anyways care to joined me" he said to you.
You never felt so disrespected when talking to someone.
"Thank you but I prefer to decline your offer" you said to him. When you were about to leave he pulls your arm and starts yelling at you. "How dare you to treat me this way! Do you know who am I!" At that moment everyone was staring at you and the guy. You never felt so embarrassed. The moment the guy started grabbing your arm Bruce and his sons start approaching you in order to stop the guy from hurting you. But they stop walking to you guys when they saw you twisting the guy's arm putting it behind his back. The look a bit surprised (except Bruce).
"Listen well because I'm going to say it once. I don't care from where you come from if you have prestige or not. The moment you start treat me or anyone like trash. I'll start treating you like that. Got that?" You said aggressively.
"Yes" said the guy in fear
You let go of his arm and move away from him.
"Woah that's a woman for you" dick said while laughing.
"I can agree with you Grayson" Damian said.
As you move far away from where you were before you bumped into Bruce.
"I'm sorry" you said shyly.
"No, it was my fault for not looking" Bruce said.
"Before I said anything else; I want to apologize for what happened earlier I should have intervine when one of the guests started grabbing your arm"
You get embarrassed and start talking a bit to fast "oh no no no it wasn't your fault, so you shouldn't apologize. And as for the treating it was fine I can defend myself when it's needed" you said while blushing and having a dorky smile in your face.
Bruce gives you a small smile and asks "would you like to accompany me for rest to the event; my company does this charity to give smaller hospitals a little more funding but I do not know how to socialize with the doctors ." He said a bit embarrassed .
You chuckled "Of course" you said.
While you accompanying Bruce you were meeting other doctors and talk about the new medicine that was coming up and talked about each other's specialize areas.
After sometime you get some alone time with Bruce. "It's amazing that you specialize in many areas of medicine Ms.(y/n). I wanted to ask you why do you work in a small hospital? Since you could be working in the best hospital as the top doctor." Bruce asked.
"The reason is that I've always notice that having a lot of knowledge in medicine can always help those in need in Big and Small hospitals but I've also notice that people who work in small hospitals do it to help the people who can't afford a lot of the medicine or surgeries that they need in order to live. Most small hospitals cover barely a small area of medicines. I want to be able to help people in need economically when they need medical attention as soon as I can" you said
"That's a very noble goal for you Ms. (y/n)" said Bruce.
"Thank you" you said with a smile
As some time passed you and Bruce started to getting know each other.  When the orchestra started playing music; Bruce asked you to dance. You accepted his invitation and started dancing away. You and him started to have some fun and didn't stop dancing an hour later. While dancing you did not notice but everyone was looking at you and Bruce dance.
"Wow Bruce started dancing with her for almost an hour. Bruce never dances in his events, he must of have some special liking towards her" said Tim surprised.
"No kidding" Jason said a bit shocked.
As the hours went buy the charity ended with 5 million dollars collected from everyone in the event.
As you are about to leave Bruce ask you if could give you a ride home. You accepted his offer and waited for him to end the event. You and Bruce get inside the limousine and you meet his 4 sons.
All just stare at you quietly and you started blushed.
Moments later Dick starts introducing everyone.
"Hello miss my name Richard but mostly everyone calls me Dick, the one beside me is Jason, and the two youngest are Tim and Damian"
"It's a pleasure to meet you all" you said with a smile face.
On your way home Dick starts asking about you work and you answer that you work in different areas of medicine. Everyone was astonish of how you worked. You never really told anyone about you having eidetic memory  unless they ask about how you manage to learn more info in little time. Having the eidetic memory makes you learn new things in a short time but you never boast about it since that would made you feel so shallow.
As soon as the limousine stop in front of your apartment building you got out in no time. You said you're goodbyes right before you go in to your building. Bruce grabs your hand and asks you "I hope I can meet you sometime soon Ms. (y/n)." You blushed and answer with smile on your face "me too".
