4: Invitation

Keith's POV

Over the next few days things went pretty well. I got to learn more about my friends and I got settled into my classes. We hung out at our usual spot at lunch.

One day during lunch Lance comes up to me as I'm drawing and sits down. "Hey bud, I wanna ask you something," says Lance. "Shoot," I reply. "Ok so, This popular girl named Paola is throwing a party this Saturday, everyone's invited and I wanted to know if you wanted to come with me, Hunk, and Pidge." "I don't know, Lance. I've never been really social and I get kind of claustrophobic in crowds," I say back. "Please, you have to come. It's gonna be her last party because she is a senior. You're probably never going to experience this ever in your life if you don't take this chance," he persuades. "You know what you're right. Fine, I'll go with you guys." "Ok cool, Hunk will pick us up at 8:00pm so be ready," he tells me. "Okay," I reply.

"So, what're you drawing," asks Lance. "I don't know I remember this face from somewhere but I don't know where," I say. "WAIT A MINUTE," exclaims Lance. "Lance you don't have to yell I'm right here." "THIS LOOKS AN AWFUL LOT LIKE TAKASHI!" "'Takashi'?, who's that?," I ask. "Well he's the captain of the football team this year," says Lance. "Really?" "Yeah that's gum over there," Lance says while pointing to a guy with a scar over his nose. "Oh, he's the guy that bumped into on my first day here, he showed me to our classroom," I reply. "Really? I didn't really take him for much of a nice guy. He hangs around with mean people," says Lance. "I don't know, he looks pretty nice to me."

"OMGGGG DOES KEITH HAVE A CRUSHY-WUSHY," says Lance. "WHAT, uh no... shut up, it's not like I know him or anything," says Lance with a light red tint over his face. "Okayyy whatever you say Keithhhh."

As I'm looking at Takashi's face he glances at me. I feel my face start to hot. He looks at me and smiles.
