My break down began looping itself. At first I was crying about how hopeless the situation is, then about how I'm not doing anything about it. Eventually, I was crying more about the fact that I'm crying, than the fact that I am now a bloodthirsty monster.
I can't continue like this. It's ridiculous. I have lived on this planet for far too long to give up because of some useless dog. I need to fix this.
I stood up and realised that I haven't lost all of my sight. Even though I couldn't see the actual colors and shapes of my surroundings. I could see a light grey outline where ever there were any objects. This outline was so light that I had to pay extra close attention to any change so I don't crash into something. I wonder if living creatures are the same.
Being a siren, created a natural bond with the sea for me, so I could easily locate it, as well as navigate in the water. On contact with the water my tail was back and I swam to the shore. The sea creatures were slightly more noticeable than objects. They were also grey, but they had a small hint of turquise. Ofcourse they were really pale, and if I hadn't paid attention I would've swam right into a giant fish similar to a shark or dolphin, most likely dolphin since there are no sharks in such shallow, human infested waters.
There was a distinct change in the texture of the water as I neared the shore. I couldn't tell at first if I was near a village or the forest, but when I lifted my head above the surface, I inhaled a soft smell of fern and pine trees which were extremely common in these forests.
I got out of the water and started trying to understand if I still had my clothes on. I concluded that I did. Now the next challenge that faced me was how do I get to the city and most importantly, how do I find blood.
I decided that I have to first try to understand my new interpretation of the world.
The streets were not surprisinly empty, since it was already pretty late. I carefully walked onto the road which lead out of the forest. I walked extremely slowly paying my attention to any object in my way.
To my absolute confusion, there was a human sized red cloud flying at me. I dodged it just in time. The red cloud mumbled, "Sorry!" as she ran past me.
Following the red cloud woman, was a vivid turquoise colored cloud. It was yelling in a male voice.
"Babe, come on! I swear we didn't do anything! It's not what it looks like."
"Fuck of! I walked in on you two having sex Jake! Don't tell me you were helping her with biology homework. I'm done with your lies."
I looked at the 2 clouds storming away, they sound like humans. What do the colors mean?
I continued walking. To my right I saw a building. There was a hole in the pale grey glow, which suggested that the doors were open. In the hole there were a couple colorful clouds.
I walked in and a loud music filled my ears. I used to spend a great portion of my life in clubs like this one, but it is extremely disorientating when you can't see anything
Almost immediately a pale purple cloud filled my vision.
"How may I help this beautiful lady?" it asked. Was he also blind? I am so far from beautiful right now. Without warning an evil thought clouded my mind- the purple cloud smelled like blood. I need to get it.
"Oh, there is one thing you could do..." I smirked. Immediately the cloud turned a darker purple. What if they are humans and the colors are emotions? Let's continue this.
"Hmm. Would you like to continue this converstion somewhere more private?" he suggested turning a darker purple. Now he was a vivid violet.
I nodded and he led me into what appears to be his car.
The car kept swerving to the side which created the impression that he is drunk. Oh great... His arm was slowly going up my thigh, which was making me slightly aroused, not as aroused as the true intention of this trip.
I noticed that the big box like grey glows have been replaced by long clouds which reminded me of trees. I confirmed that we were now in the forest.
The man's cloud was going a darker violet the higher his arm went up my thigh. He was now under my skirt, playing with the lace in my underwear.
"Come on babe, pull up here. I'm sure it will be okay." I whispered in his ear.
He pulled over roughly. I leaned over to him and began kissing him. His response was sloppy and all over the place. He began to slowly pull at the hem of my shirt and soon both mine and his were off. I continued kissing his lips with passion.
He began to pull at the waist of my skirt. He pulled it down half-way and I did the rest. I began kissing down his neck, my fangs aching for the blood in his veins, but I thought "not yet". I travelled down his chest, this way trying to picture his physical appearance. He wasn't very athletic, but he wasn't fat either. I came down to his waist line and unzipped his jeans and pulled them down. He was left in his boxers. I continued kissing back to his mouth. He was dark violet now and his cloud was vibrating. After a few minutes of making out I had enough.
Slowly I kissed down his jawline reaching his neck. My fangs were throbbing to bite down into his soft flesh. I needed the feeling of his warm blood on my lips, but I had to time it perfectly.
The perfect moment came. He threw his head back moaning as I left hickeys on his neck. Just as I was about to suck at his skin one more time, I sunk my fangs into his skin instead. He gasped. Before he could throw me off or scream I drained his whole body of any blood.
I smiled in satisfaction as the warm liquid soothed my insides. I felt life return to me. My senses became sharper and the blurry clouds, slightly clearer. I realized how much I needed blood and how powerful it made. I wondered what would happen if I drank more, if I killed more. The thought of how strong I would become drove me crazy with want.
Thoughts of more blood were silenced by the full understanding of what I just did. I killed a man. For what? To drink his blood.
What have I become? I can't live like this.
At that moment I decided to leave this city and find beings like myself orany of the supernatural world who might help me understand why I haven't died, and instead turned into a bloodthirsty monster.
