"Students! We have a new classmate! Y/N get up here and introduce yourself!" Miss Simian yelled in her high pitched, scratchy voice.
I walked up to the front of the class as Miss Simian sat down in her chair and sipped her coffee, like she could care less.
"Hello," I said, looking at the floor, "I'm Y/N. I came to Elmore because my great grandfather is really sick. That's really it."
"Why don't you tell them what you like to do." Miss Simian said, trying to give her more time to sit and do nothing, "And you can look at them, they don't bite. Well... most of them at least."
I looked at the class. There were some very strange looking people.
A yellow pixie girl with wings. A floating eyeball. A blue balloon. A flower guy. And many others.
"Well... I like to play video games, and draw/write/do a sport. I'm really just like any of you." I murmured.

"Everyone say hello." Miss Simian said, taking the coffee mug out of her mouth.
"Hi Y/N." They all said.
I got up and walked back to my seat.
A piece of paper flew onto my desk.
'You don't have to be nervous. It's just us. Also, you wanna come over after school? Darwin and I are gonna be playing video games.

I scribbled on the back of the paper,
'Thanks. And sure I'd love to! If I don't have homework. :)'
Gumball looked at me and smiled. My face flushed a light shade of pink.
