Your POV:

"But I don't wanna go!" I whined to my mother, who was pulling me out the door by my arm.
"Y/N, we have to move to Elmore. Your Great Grandfather is sick, and he needs our help." She replied.
"But I'm moving away from all of my friends." I said.
"You'll make plenty of new friends when we get there."
I knew she was right, but I really didn't want to leave.
"And I've already signed you up to go to Elmore junior high. So you will be around a lot of kids your age."
She placed me into the back of the car in my usual seat, buckled me in, and got in the front to drive away.
When we drove into Elmore, my mom turned into a small neighborhood that just consisted of a long road leading back down to a highway. We passed a few houses, then got to ours. It was bright green, with a red stairway.
"Are you sure this isn't to flashy?" I asked my mom.
"Have you seen the other houses on this street? This is fine."
When I hopped out of the car, I started to take a closer look at the house and everything around it. The neighbors' house was a bright blue on one side, and on the other, a tall house with a really bright red color. It was almost blinding. Now I get what my mom said.
As I was admiring the neighborhood, I heard a couple of kids in the neighboring yard.
"Look out!" One of them screamed.
The next thing I knew, a skateboard flew at my head.
"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" One of them said.
"Of course she's not okay! You hit her in the head!" Another said in a high pitched voice.
After that, I didn't hear anything else. Everything went black.
