"Thank you for watching the kids last night." I said to Richard as he was dropping them off at 1:15.

"It was no problem Meredith. They were good, and it's nice to have company when Catherine isn't in town." I just smiled at him.

"You will have to come over for dinner one day this week since you watched them for us"

"That sounds great. I'll see you later. Bye"

"Bye," I said as he walked away and I shut the door. I bent down and got Bailey out of his carseat.

"Daddy?" Zola asked wondering where Derek was.

"He is in the shower, he will be out soon." I walked to the TV to turn it on for her. "did uncle Richard get you lunch already?"

She shook her head yes. "okay well daddy is going to take you to the movies later, just you and him." her face lit up and she put on a big smile.

Derek carried in a sleeping Zola. "did she fall asleep during the movie too? or just the ride home?"

"Just the ride home. will you make sure her bedroom door is open please?" I shook my head yes and walked with him to her room. I opened the door and pulled back her covers for him to put her under. "thank you." he kissed my cheek after covering Zola up and kissing her forehead.

"Derek," I shook his arm and he opened his eyes. "I got called in and I wanted to let you know. I will see you later. love you." I kissed him.

"Love you too." he closed his eyes and rolled over.

"Mr. Jacobs, I'm Dr. Grey and I will be the one doing your surgery tomorrow." I said to my patient who was in his early 30's and had blonde hair and green eyes.

"You are hot so you get to call me Matt," he winked at me and I laughed.

"Okay, well Matt, if you have any problems are in pain let one of the nurses know and I will come check on you later." I smiled then walked out.

"What was that about?" I looked up from the iPad to see Derek leaning against the counter of the nurse station.

I kissed his cheek and sat down the iPad, "what was what about?"

"Well when you walked out of the room he was staring at your butt." I laughed, "I can't help it is he thinks I have a nice butt," I smiled at Derek, "plus I never would've known if you hadn't saw him looking." he just chuckled then kissed me which seemed to last at bit then looked at my patient and walked off. "He was definitely jealous, wasn't he?" I asked the nurse behind the counter and she smiled and shook her head yes. For once I was the one being flirted with not my Mcdreamy husband and that bothered him.

I sat down at one of the tables for lunch and Derek and Callie joined me. They were in a conversation about a patient when a nurse came up to me, "Dr. Grey?"

"Yes?"

"Matt Jacobs wants you to stop by his room after your lunch."

"Does he need something? Is something wrong?"

"He didn't say. He just asked that I make sure to tell you."

"Oh okay. Thank you Sierra." she nodded then walked off.

I didn't realize Callie and Derek had listened, "Is this the man that was checking you out?" Derek said with a look on his face.

"Why, are you jealous?"

He took a bite of his sandwich and ignored me. "you are, aren't you?"

"No, just curious." he replied.

Callie laughed, "he is jealous," derek looked at her and gave her a dirty look and she laughed again, "what? we can tell you are."

"I'm not jealous. I have no reason to be," he looked from her to me, "I'm the one that is lucky enough to be married to you." he leaned over and kissed me.

I laughed, "if you weren't jealous you wouldn't have pulled the lucky to be married to me card."

"Meredith I'm jealous," he said defensively.

"Yeah.. right! Don't forget I came up with Mcdreamy, which continues to be used by nurses and patients to this day. I know what it's like to be where you are." He looked at me then Callie and got up, "oh derek don't be a baby, I'm just messing with you sit down."

"I have patients," he kissed the top of my head and went to throw his stuff away.

Callie sipped a drink through her straw then looked at me, "he is so jealous and he can't even admit it."

"I know right?" we laughed then finished eating our lunch.

"Mr. Jacobs did you need something? I was told you wanted me to stop by after I ate."

"No, I'm fine. I just wanted to see you. are you free? I mean once I'm healed and out of here?"

I laughed, "I'm flattered but I am married. sorry." His face grew sad.

"He is a lucky man."

"Thank you," and with that I left.

Derek came up behind me and kissed me on the cheek, "are you ready?"

"Yes I was just finishing something up."

"So how was surgery on what's his name?"

"It's Matt, and just admit you're jealous already?"

"I am not jealous." I gave him a look saying he wasn't fooling me. "okay maybe I was jealous."

I laughed and lightly pushed his shoulder, "I knew it." I put my hand in his and headed to the daycare.
