Chapter 4

"Hey babe," Derek said coming up to me and kissing me on the cheek. "Hey. I'm almost done then we can leave," I told him.

I finished checking on my patients then met up with Derek in the lounge. "I'm all done and ready to go."

He set down the magazine he was looking at, got up grabbed his jacket then grabbed my hand and we headed up to get the kids.

"Have a good night," one of the daycare workers said as we left. "You too," I replied.

"Lets get home and eat and go to bed."

Derek chuckled, "sounds like a great plan."

We arrived home and Derek started making so Macaroni and cheese and some chicken. We just wanted a quick dinner. After we ate we gave the kids bathes then got them ready for bed. "Night night Zozo mommy and daddy love you," I said as I kissed her goodnight. Then I took Bailey into his room and laid him down in his crib.

"I'm getting in the shower Derek."

"I'll join you!" he started taking off his shirt and walking toward the bathroom with me. "Why don't we take a nice relaxing bath?"

"I would love to but the quicker we shower the quicker we can go to sleep."

"True," we got into the shower and would start kissing every once in awhile. And shone we be more passionate, heated kissed then the rest.

Once we were done we went straight to bed and passed out.

"Derek, Bailey is crying please, please go get him." I was so exhausted.

"For you I will," he kissed me on the cheek then got out of the bed, and I went back to sleep.

'Beep,beep,beep' my alarm clock was going off. "Uhhh," I rolled over and turned it off then noticed Derek wasn't in the bed. I got up and went to look for him.

"Goodmorning. I made eggs and pancakes and bacon and of course coffee."

"You know me too well. How long have you been awake and why?" I asked him.

"I woke up about an hour ago and couldn't fall back to sleep," he walked over to me and grabbed my hands, kissed me on the forehead an pulled me towards him. "Let's eat before it gets cold."

"Meredith you look lovely today! did you try something different?"

"Screw you Cristina. I'm so exhausted."

She started laughing, "another reason I don't want kids." she walked off while laughing to herself. Gosh sometimes I hated her. It's not that I wish I didn't have kids because I love those two so much, just sometimes it was hard work.

"Wilson I need you to go check on Mr. Roberts in room 217 please."

"Yes, Dr. Grey."

"Thank you." right now I was thankful for interns. Now I could go to an on call room and rest, which is exactly what I needed.

'Beep beep' I woke up after about a 10 minute nap and grabbed my pager, it read *911 PEDS*.
