Hi, up there is the song Battlefield by SVRCINA. I love it and thought it was very appropriate for this chapter. I advise you to start the song when they start running through the woods and enter the battlefield.

Hope you enjoy :)

"Wow, this is so beautiful." Masky was completely amazed by the digital world, and it was annoying me more than ever.

The mansion was under attack, we knew there was a trap but we did not know how to avoid it and all Masky says and thinks is how beautiful this world is.

"Can you focus?" I snapped.

We were close to Bemin's computer in our room.

"I'm sorry, this is just too beaut-"

"Beautiful, yeah, i get it." I cut him off, annoyed.

"I'm sorry." He repeated.

"Get ready, we don't know what we'll be getting home to, but for sure we'll have to fight." I said.

Is Bemin okay? Is everyone else okay? Are they fighting inside the mansion or somewhere farther? Is Zalgo's entire army there? Cause if so...

No, don't think about it. They can manage themselves. They would not lose easily to Zalgo and his army of fuckers.

We need to get there. All this questions and worries are killing me.

"I know. I just can't believe we're doing this again..." I glanced at him briefly before looking in front of me again. I sighed internally.

"What do you mean?"

"It was ages ago, but we fought... We fought for that mansion, back when there barely existed creepypastas. So much pain, so much sorrow, so many deaths... I thought we had conquered the mansion forever. But all of those deaths, all of that pain turned out to be for nothing, cause here we are again. Fighting with Zalgo for our mansion. Something that was always rightfully Slender's."

"We are gonna win, Masky." I tried to cheer up, but to be honest, i'm not sure who i was saying these words to, if him or myself. "And everyone in our side is gonna come out unscathed."

"Do you promise?" He sounded like a little kid. My heart tugged. This was the Masky i had fallen for...

Not the time, Rachel. Enough.

"...I can't. You know that..." I felt bad, but i wasn't going to lie.

"I know... But-"

"There it is!" I happily interrupted Masky.

Fucking finally. This path never seemed so long.

"Don't let go... And prepare yourself." With those final words, we went through the computer to our room.

It was empty, but normal. It wasn't thrashed, so unless they had forgotten to come here, which was very unlikely, our mansion hadn't been touched by the enemy.

We went to the hallway, completely alert for any noise or movement, but there was none.

"They aren't here." Masky pointed out.

"No one is." I agreed. "They are somewhere in the forest. Fuck, how will we find them now?!"

Any method of research will take too long.

"I'll talk to Slender. My connection is easier since he has my soul." Masky said, closing his eyes and focusing.

While he was attempting to talk to Slender, i was jittery looking around. We were outside, right in front of the front door, the woods surrounding the entire mansion.
