As Isaac grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the car, his heart was beating a mile a minute. Scott couldn't help but laugh.
"Isaac, I didn't actually think the "extra special surprise" for our anniversary would be a trip to the graveyard."
Isaac grinned at him. "Come on, just follow me."
"You're not going to kill me, right?"
Isaac couldn't suppress a chuckle, pecking Scott's lips. "Shut up."

As they entered the cemetery, an eerie silence fell over the two. Hands linked, Isaac guided him through the path lined with graves. Although Scott trusted him, he was slightly frightened. Not once did Isaac look back at Scott. Maybe out of respect, but starring at the back of Isaac's neck for 15 minutes more or less worried him.
"Isaac?"
"Mhm?"
"Where are we going?"
"We're going to meet my brother."

"Scott, this is Camden," Isaac said, gesturing to the grave. "Camden, this is my boyfriend, Scott."
Scott studied the slab of stone marked "Camden Lahey, 1987-2001", and swore that his stomach dropped to the floor. He had almost entirely forgetting that Isaac had a brother. Scott, being an only child, always wondered what it was like. Most siblings swore they they hated each other, but they always loved each other deep down. Scott envied those people for taking such things for granted.

Right then did he remembered that he wasn't he only one.

Isaac kneeled to the tombstone, tears lightly brimming in his eyes.
"Scott's cool, I think you'd like him. He's kind of a stubborn ass sometimes, but he's sort of like you," he sad with a small smile, touching the cold grave.
Scott shoved his hands in his jacket, pity welling up in his chest. Scott stared at him quizzically, debating wether to comfort him or not.
"He's... the best thing that's ever happened to me, I think. I mean it. Maybe you hate that, I wouldn't know—"
"Isaac-"
"— I don't know if you'd approve of us, but I love him. I really do. I hope you're okay with that."
Isaac leaned back on his knees, quiet for a moment. Out of his coat pocket, he pulled out a single yellow daisy, placing it gingerly on the grave. A few tears plopping into the earth to join Isaac's brother.
Scott kneeled next to his boyfriend. "Hey Camden, what's up?"
Isaac flinched in surprise, but didn't meet Scott's eyes.
"You have a hell of a brother here, really." Scott said, lacing his fingers through Isaac's. "The sweetest, most sincere, most wonderful guy in the whole world.
"It's weird, because I think he's way too good for me. But I love him, more than anything." Scott leaned his head on Isaac's shoulder.
They sat frozen in silence, taking in the cool autumn breeze. As the leaves bristled passed them, more tears made their way down Isaac's cheeks.
"More than anything?" Isaac asked quietly.
"More than anything."
Scott cleaned the tears from Isaac face with his sleeve, giving him a small, assuring smile. Isaac pulled him into a tight embrace. Scott was almost afraid to let go, in fear that Isaac wouldn't be there when he did.

But Isaac was there. He always would be there.

"So, when do I get to meet your mom?" Scott asked, lightening the mood.
Isaac burst out laughing. God, Scott loved when he did that.  "You're going to have to marry me first."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I think I might."

It's short, but not all one-shots have to be over 1000 words, right? I hope you guys like this because I poured my soul into this one. I actually went to a funeral today and I feel kinda sucky, so idk if this is my best work.
