A lady was watching us from behind a bush, she wasn't the most extravagant person we'd seen, then again she was the only person we'd seen. She gave us some clothes we could change into and took us back to her cottage. She was a nice woman, a little inquisitive, but nice. We asked her for her name, and she said it was Opal. Opal asked us a series of questions, such as, who we were, where we had come from, what were we doing on The Island of Lois, things like that. We told her our story and then we showed her our necklaces.
She gasped when she saw them and said that the shells were called: The Shells of Wishes and Curses. (A/N: super creative name, I know! Lol) She knew all about the shells and said in a trembling voice, like she was remembering a painful memory from long ago, "These shells," she said taking them in her hands, "These shells poses a magical power. They grant one wish for the wearer, and that wish, that wish ends up a curse! If you cannot find a way to break this spell in three days, you will stay a human and be erased from mermaid existence, forever!"
