A trigger of thirst pulled me awake
I dreamt I was burning at the stake

I felt the heat on my face
I heard the angels sing amazing grace
Preparing the gates of heaven for me
Telling me to let my sins go and let it be
And in this dream, it was meant to be me
I smelled the smell of smoke
Maybe that
Was what made me awoke.

I sat up straight, and knew it was no game
Spirits talking to me, the faces of pigs flashing in the mirror, I saw
Till shone the early morning thaw
I thought it was real, and I stood there in awe.
The fairies did visit me in my dream in the night
I saw the angels standing in the shining light.
The fire kept burning
But the flames kept turning
And did me no harm
The only alarm
Was the angels preparing the gates of heaven for me
