Rian is sitting down talking to her friends, when Tyler comes over to ask,"Hey, do you know where the snack bar is? I haven't been here in a while," Rian stares. He looks over to and he blushed and turns away. Rian walks with him to the snack bar, without saying one word. Then finally Tyler says,"Thank you. What's your nane?" "Um, it's Rian. Nice to meet you." "So, do you come here every year?" Asked Tyler. "Yeah, I come here every year, but it never gets old. It's really entertaining to be smart and know things." Tyler smiles and buys a soda and a candy bar. He walks you back to your mom and says bye. "So, who was that?" Asked mom. "That was Tyler. He's awesome, but he doesn't know me," Rian said. Rian is getting ready for her turn, She is bouncing her leg up and down. She is even more nervous than usual, and she doesn't know what's going to happen. It's usually the same questions as last year, and the year before that. But Rian's mom said that they changed the difficulty of the questions from freshman questions; to senior questions. Announcer,"Rian Walter, please come to stage for your turn," Rian stands up nervously and goes on stage. She sees everybody in the stands and the face you see first is Tyler's face. You blush and turn to the judge. "What sorts of signals does the brain use to communicate sensations, thoughts and actions?" Rian looks at the judge with a worried face. She takes a deep breath and says,"The single cells in the brain communicate through electrical and chemical signals." The judges look at each other and give the bell, which means you're correct. You smile with joy and get off stage. The nationals is a 2 day event, the competition buys all the contestants a hotel room. Here is the room.
