     Dr. Teagan did some research about the disease Rian has. She spent five days trying to find something that could've caused her cancer. They keep on saying that Rian has the same type of cancer as her grandma, but how come Rian's mom didn't get it. It might be a skip generation, which means that you grandchild gets the disease instead of your child. But, Dr. Teagan doesn't want to clarify anything yet.
     Rian is laying her in bed watching TV and eating some hospital food, which see likes very much. Her parents have been visiting Rian and her grandma every once in a while. Rian's dad only visited seven times before he had to leave again for a business trip. He doesn't want to leave his daughter, but he has to pay for the hospital bill.
     It's been 2 weeks since she's been in the hospital. She finally visited her grandma, who is not doing very well. "Hey grandma, it's me, Rian. I was wondering how you are doing?" Rian was standing at the edge of her bed and looking down on her. "Oh, Rian. You look beautiful! How have you been?" Her grandma looks at Rian with her eyes half closed. "I'm great grandma. But enough about me, how have you been? You've been in this bed for four weeks." "I've been wonderful! I'm more healthy than ever!" Rian gave her a weird look. "Um, you do know that you have brain cancer, right?" Grandma's mood darkened. Rian knew that wasn't the right thing to say. "Look, I'm sorry for reminding you. I just found out I have some type of brain cancer, and it wasn't the best news," Rian said laughing. Her grandma looked at her and smiled, then let out a long painful sigh. "Look, sweetheart, having cancer isn't the best thing. But, having just let's you realize that you could live life a little more." Grandma looks at her and lies down again. Rian finally realized that she could do so many things. But having cancer just slows her down. She finally was able to go home and enjoy the rest of her life.
