She was sick of being called that, 'his prey'. It made her feel like livestock. No, worse than livestock; she was being hunted and degraded more than a livestock would be. On top of that, she was being referred to as his. She was most definitely not his, (Name) (Surname) was her own person. The girl belonged to no one.
"Why do you call me that?" The girl huffed, taking a bite of one of the overly sweet treats on her plate, "I'm not some thing you can just kill and eat. I'm a human." Looking up at Kanato, she expected an answer.
"You ask so many questions, it's annoying. You're my prey because I claimed ownership of you, stupid mortal." He replied, his anger starting to swell up inside him slightly. Why did everyone ask so many questions to him? He hated it. What he said, was to be done.
Although she saw this, the girl decided to press just a little further. It couldn't be so bad, could it? "But why call me prey?" His facial expression straight after made her instantly made her regret the decision. Kanato was definitely angry now.
"Because you are weaker than me! Now stop asking meaningless questions!" He shouted at her, to which she responded with a flinch. She cowered slightly, maybe he hadn't changed at all; being sort of nivce was just an act. Or she had just gone too far. What a temper he has, "Fine I'll stop. Damn, I just wanted to know." The girl muttered quietly. Kanato always got mad at everything she did. It annoyed her so much.
The girl ended up just having to put it past her as she knew nothing good would happen if she kept on the subject. Staying silent, she listened to Kanato's mutters to Teddy as she ate the sweets. She felt awkward holding her Bunny, due to never having done so in front of another before. Even though he kept his Teddy in his possession at all times, (Name) still felt like she would be judged. It was just natural.
Despite this, she still held the pastel plush to her chest for a sense of comfort. Her mind was definitely a mess. She wanted to hold her Bunny to her, yet not be judged. However, she knew she couldn't have both. Though, at the moment, she risked being judged. Besides, he couldn't really say much, could he?
Deciding she could let her thoughts go free now that Kanato wasn't talking to her, (Name) picked up one of the macarons and let the sweet taste melt in her mouth. Mind wandering to more pleasant things, a gentle smile settled on her face, her gaze drifting. It was much more comforting to not have any worries at that moment.
"Cute expression, but I definitely prefer her terrified." A cold, deep voice snickered, echoing round the room. Her head jerked, snapping her from her thoughts instantly. Her countenance fell petrified as her head whipped round the room, "W-Who said that?" Instantly, she began to quake. Whether it was due to fear or the plummet in temperature, the girl did not know, but her shaking was vigorous.
Kanato looked up at her, tilting his head, "Who said what?" He had a small feeling he knew who she heard, but he couldn't be fully sure because he wasn't paying full attention to his surroundings.
After exhaling a shaky breath, she looked back at the inquisitive male with her eyes still wide. Rubbing her upper arms to attempt to warm herself, she replied, "It-It said, 'cute expression, but I definitely prefer her terrified' or something li-like that." Her teeth chattered, causing her stutter. Well, that's what she told herself. It seemed there was not a chance that she would admit her scare to hearing the voice.
However, it was quite obvious to Kanato by her frightful expression. From her answering his question, he knew straight away who it was that the girl could hear. His expression turned into an insane grin, a chuckle erupting from his throat, "Yes," He laughed, "That's correct, Teddy. Doesn't she look so much better this way?" Looking over at her, the male lifted Teddy up, sitting the bear on the table in front of him and still holding its waist.
