Chapter 05

Madz woke up, her head was pounding and her vision was a bit blurry. She blinked a few times trying to clear her vision so she could get a better view of her surroundings. An evil cackle filled her ears, making the girl jump as a figure came into view.

Her vision cleared up only to reveal Marcus.

She tried to stand up and fight the bastard but she froze, realizing that she was tied up. She stayed silent looking around. She was in some kind of laboratory; there was potions, computers, test tubes, heaters, goggles, lose paper everywhere....the place was a mess.

"What is this..?" She mumbled giving the man an evil glare. "Dexter's laboratory? What do you want?!" Madz exclaimed as she began to squirm.

She tried to go invisible but the chains on her burned her skin as she attempt to use her powers.

"You know, I was hoping for the strongest member of your group to come walking down here. Or the physic one, they would've been very fun to play~" Marcus said with an evil laugh as he picked up a needle. "You see my dear, there is no hope for this world. The dead has taken over it."

Marcus shoved the needle into Madz's arm making her groan in pain. A weird liquid was injected inside of her as Madz couldn't do anything to fight him off.

"W-what are you doing to me??" Madz asked quite frightened now.

"I created these chains to be immune to powers like yours and whenever you try to use them, you'll only become weaker."

"I don't what was the point of injecting me with whatever you put inside me though!" She said.

"Oh well I need someone to tell my evil plans to. Like I said, it would've been more fun to deal with the girl who can make things fly with her mind or the physic one but I guess this will have to do.." He said with a sigh, pulling a blanket off of a bunch of tvs.

Madz gasped at the sight of her friends being watched on the tvs. "What the hell?"

"You see, I believe that according to my calculations, you all are bonded together. You all have some sort of chemistry that f it is all combined, you can stop the apocalypse. Each one of your powers are unique but if its put together the world goes ka-boom."

"Okay what's the problem?" Madz sneered not following Marcus's plan.

"I caused the apocalypse. Years of hard work and dedication to finally put the world in ruins and here it is. I'm pretty sure you picked up on why there have been no zombies in the area-"

"You're controlling them!" Madz exclaimed, her eyes widening at this information.

What am I going to tell the others? If we put an end to the apocalypse we'll probably be the only people left on earth afterwards... Madz thought. But is it worth killing all the survivors out there too?

"Yes I am. I'm going to take over the world using the dead."

"And what are you going to do after that plan succeeds?" Madz asked.

"I take your powers, cure all the zombies and I'll be the strongest being in the universe!"

"Damn that's a good plan.." Madz mumbled looking off to the side. "But that doesn't make up for the fact that you injected me with that liquid!"

"Now that my dear, is a poison that reacts to certain wards and actions. If you say a peep or write a note to your friends explaining all of this. Its the end for you~" Marcus said poking her cheek. "So its your friend's lives over yours!"

"I fucking hate you." Madz said with a glare. "I'll kill you, I'll find a way to stop you! We all will no matter what it takes!"

//insert explosion sound effects and attack on titan theme music//

The ground began to shake as vines tore apart the roof of the building. Marcus smiled, releasing Madz. "That must be your friends. Tata!"

Madz went to throw a punch at him but felt a hand onto her shoulder as something zoomed past her knocking Marcus to the ground. Madz turned around to see Lillian and Lee giving her a reasurring smile while Eric beat the living crap out of Marcus.

"You. Little. Bitch. I'm. Going. To. Kill. You!" Eric yelled punching Marcus.

Marcus kicked the boy off and wiped his face, removing some of the blood. A smile made its way onto Marcus's lips before Sora came on from behind knocking him down. Sukino was with her as well using her powers to pin the man onto the ground.

Sora made all the potions mix with each other causing a big explosion and a fire. Everyone else was in another stolen car with all the supplies they needed. Alicia made sure to upgrade the thing so that way it didn't need gas to keep moving.

Everyone ran outside right in time for the house exploded one last time making it crumble into pieces.

They all sighed and gathered into the car.

"Are you okay Madz?" Midnight asked putting on her seatbelt. Madz nodded. "He didn't take advantage of you right?" Lee said clenching her flute. "Because if he did lord knows-"

"I'm fine. Lets just get going." She mumbled.

The group gave each other confused glances before shrugging. Alicia was driving this time instead of Lillian, who was sitting in the back with Madz. "Well, we're glad to have you back." Eric said with a smile.

"Oh and we have a new friend!" Sukino said happily pointing towards Alicia.

"The names Alicia and the next time you wanna go on a super secret mission, tell your friends first. They sorta tore apart the town just for you." She said with a smirk as she drove onto the road.

"Yeah...noted." Madz mumbled looking out the window.

I'm sorry..I'm so sorry... Madz thought as a wave of guilt washed over her leaving the group in a comfortable silence as they drove to Canada.

If you were in Madz's situation and had to choose between telling your friends about how to the apocalypse but lose your life in the end or keep it a secret knowing that both you and your friends have to put up with the zombies relentlessly?
